No more distractions. The events of Daredevil: Born Again episode 7 have set the stage for Matt Murdock to take on Wilson Fisk’s forces.
Before we break down where things are at going into the eighth and penultimate episode of Daredevil: Born Again, let’s get some housekeeping out of the way first.
Disney+ is dropping episodes of Daredevil: Born Again at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesdays. After dropping the first two episodes together, episodes three, four and seven had solo releases. Five and six were the only other episodes that dropped as a pair. Episode eight of Daredevil: Born Again will have a solo drop on Tuesday, April 8 at 9 p.m. ET.
Timing notes
Episode 7 clocked in at 42:34, fitting right within the ballpark of the majority of Season 1’s episodes to this point. Going into episodes 8 (penultimate) and 9 (finale), only two have exceeded 50 minutes in length (episodes 1 and 4).
It’d be shocking if either of these final two episodes were shorter than 41:29, which is the shortest episode length we’ve seen this season (episode 5). However, it’d be less surprising to see the next two exceed 50 minutes. Still lots to get to between Daredevil and Kingpin.

- Goodbye, Muse. As much as having a monstrous villain like that around longer could’ve been interesting, Muse more than served his purpose. He forced Daredevil to return. Then, by unknowingly going after Daredevil’s girlfriend, Muse forced Murdocks to fight while dealing with severe emotions. Perhaps most important of all, that led to Daredevil being ahead of Kingpin’s forces, which leads us to the next bit.
- If you thought Kingpin was mad before, oh boy. His episode 7 monologue made it very clear: He has no patience for Daredevil, and this vigilante should only be viewed as a threat to anything Kingpin-related — because Daredevil is a force of nature. But, with the public on his side this go-around and new forces at his disposal — combined with what he learned from his previous failures vs. Murdock (like his identity) — Kingpin could have the upper hand this time.
