There’s a new name atop the NASCAR Cup Series qualifying. Michael McDowell won Saturday’s qualifying race for the Pennzoil 400.
He will have the pole for Sunday’s official race as he looks for his first win of the 2025 season. McDowell drives the No. 71 car and beat out Joey Logano and Austin Cindric for the top spot.
The 2025 Pennzoil 400 will take place on Sunday, March 16 at 3:30 p.m. ET. The race is held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada.
