After playing nine holes in Round 2, Wyndham Clark withdrew from THE PLAYERS Championship.

No reason was given in the official PGA TOUR communication, although there was speculation on the broadcast about a wrist or neck injury.

Last year, Clark finished runner-up at this event and had gathered a little momentum with a T16 at the WM Phoenix Open, a T31 at The Genesis Invitational, and a T22 last week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

He was owned in 4.52% of lineups in the PGA TOUR $2.25M Fantasy Golf Millionaire, but he won’t be around for the rest of the week. Clark was not listed in the field for next week’s Valspar Championship but had been announced as part of the field for the Texas Children’s Houston Open the following week.
