Welp. Daredevil: Born Again got dark real quick.
Before we get into the details of what happened, let’s cover some housekeeping for the next episode.
Disney+ is dropping episodes of Daredevil: Born Again at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesdays. After dropping the first two episodes together, the third will get a solo release. Episode 3 will be available on Tuesday, March 11 at 9 p.m. ET.
Timing notes
The first episode of Daredevil: Born Again wound up being just over 60 minutes even (60:49), and episode 2 clocked in at a smidge over 49 minutes (49:11).
That’s an 11-minute difference to kick things off. Not unreasonable for a streaming show, but not exactly a small difference. It would be surprising to see an episode significantly longer than the series-opener, however, the tone of this show plays toward more of these episodes being 45-55 minutes on average.

(Warning: Spoilers for episodes 1+2 of Daredevil: Born Again ahead.)
- I am sorry to all the Foggy Nelson superfans out there. Really tough way to start the show. Seeing what it did to Daredevil in the moment — when he threw Bullseye off the pub’s roof — was powerful. No surprise to see Matt Murdock hang up the horns after such an awful experience. But, the final, brutal events of episode 2 might mean Daredevil is back.
- Speaking of the way episode 2 of Daredevil: Born Again ended, we saw one of the officers who attacked Murdock bore a Punisher tattoo. We know Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) will be joining the mix, and this small moment in episode 2 may have quickly shown us exactly the type of people he’s going to target. Because if there’s one thing The Punisher does not care for, it’s people taking any sort of action in his name.
Wilson Fisk has become mayor of New York City. Not a surprise in the least, if you’ve been following our coverage leading up to the series. Among the things that are so unnerving about Kingpin’s ascension is how he seems to have been elected without any of his dastardly machinations — excluding his funding, of course. But now that Kingpin has won the office, we can see he’s growing impatient. While that did lead to him helping construction workers circumvent some red tape so they could fill a pothole, an action like that is the start of something far more sinister.
