The Pistons want to stretch their winning streak to eight games as they host the defending champion Celtics. The Pistons, riding high after wins over Atlanta and the Clippers, have been led by NBA All-Star Cade Cunningham, who is averaging career highs in points (25.8), assists (9.5), and rebounds (6.3). Detroit has been playing excellent basketball under head coach J.B. Bickerstaff, and they’ll look to build on their current momentum.
Boston, playing the second game of a back-to-back, will be without Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, and Al Horford, all of whom are expected to miss the game. With their injuries and fatigue from the prior night, the Pistons could cover the spread and add another win to their streak.
Hawks +2.5 (-110)
After a dominant 98-86 win over Miami, the Atlanta Hawks will head to Miami for a rematch with the Heat. Trae Young and the Hawks have proven themselves as a solid team this season, and with Young averaging 24.2 points and 11.4 assists, they remain dangerous in high-pressure situations. Miami, struggling with 17.5% shooting from beyond the arc in their last game, might find it challenging to keep up with Atlanta’s pace. The Hawks’ strong team defense and recently improved offense gives them an edge.
Wizards +6.5 (-112)
The Wizards will try to build on their recent defensive performance when facing the Trail Blazers. Washington shut down Brooklyn, limiting them to just 12 points in the fourth quarter in a 107-99 win. Jordan Poole and Bilal Coulibaly have been stepping up as offensive leaders. While coming off a big win over Charlotte, the Trail Blazers have struggled with consistency, and their key players like Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant will need to step up against a motivated Wizards team.
Bulls +9 (-112)
The Clippers are struggling, having lost three in a row and dealing with injuries to key players like Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell. The Chicago Bulls, on the other hand, are coming off a 142-110 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, with Josh Giddey posting a double-double. Chicago has shown resilience despite injuries and will look to capitalize on the Clippers’ vulnerabilities. With the Clippers’ rotation stretched thin, the Bulls could keep this game within the spread and cover the +9 line.
Zach LaVine Over 23.5 Points (-125)
After a spectacular 42-point performance against the Hornets, Zach LaVine is riding high. He has been dominant, hitting 16 of 19 shots and 8 of 9 from beyond the arc in their blowout win. As the Kings continue to fight for a playoff spot, LaVine will be key in their push and will have plenty of opportunity to easily surpass his 23.5 points in this matchup, continuing his hot streak.
