It might be the start of a week-long break, but there’s still plenty of NBA action this weekend. While the Dunk Contest is traditionally the crown jewel of All-Star weekend, don’t sleep on the Three-Point Contest. In today’s modern game, most superstars are eager to showcase their shooting prowess in front of a national audience. Ahead of Saturday’s highly anticipated shootout, here’s how the public is betting the event on DraftKings Sportsbook .
Betting Splits

Despite having the lowest odds on the board, Damian Lillard (+350) has received the most bets of any player tonight. That’s not a shock considering the superstar has won this event two years in a row. With 41% of the handle and 45% of all bets, the public expects the guard to clinch the first-ever three-peat in this contest. That’s easier said than done with the kind of talent he’ll be going up against.
Buddy Hield (+500) is far from a household name, currently operating as a role player on Golden State. However, as the lone representative from the Warriors, perhaps a hometown crowd can give the veteran a boost. 15% of all bets and 25% of the handle are backing the sharpshooter in this one. Hield has had success in this spot before, winning the 2020 Three-Point Contest in Chicago.
First-time All-Star Tyler Herro (+700) has a busy weekend ahead of him. He’ll look to put on a show at the Chase Center in a format that should be tailor-made for his skillset. The sixth-year pro has commanded the third-highest amount of the handle (13%) and bets (10%). Miami’s budding star notched 18 points the last time he entered this contest back in 2023.
Despite possessing tonight’s second-lowest odds, Cleveland point guard Darius Garland (+500) hasn’t had much support. Just 7% of the handle and 9% of all bets have been placed on the two-time All-Star. Still, the 25-year-old has nailed 43.1% of his three-point attempts this season with the Cavaliers. That mark is good enough for ninth-best among qualified players in the NBA.
Jalen Brunson (+750) enters tonight’s shootout tied with the second-lowest odds of any player. The latter has been terrific this season with the Knicks, but his numbers from beyond the arc have declined. JB’s season-long 39.7% three-point shooting is down slightly from his 40.4% mark over three years in New York. The two-time All-Star hasn’t gotten a big market boost so far, drawing in 5% of the handle and 6% of all bets.
Cameron Johnson (+750) has emerged as the go-to guy on an otherwise subpar Nets squad. The sixth-year pro has knocked down 41.3% of his 7.5 attempts per game from long-distance. That’s the 28-year-old’s best mark in over three seasons. Brooklyn’s top dog has brought in only 4% of the handle and 7% of all bets.
Despite holding the fourth-best odds of any player, Norman Powell (+550) hasn’t received much support. The Most Improved Player candidate has recorded 24.2 points on 49.6% shooting (42.8 3PT%) for the Clippers this season. Still, Los Angeles’ sharpshooter has only demanded 3% of the handle and 4% of all bets. Statistically, the veteran is one of the best values available tonight.
By far the biggest underdog on Saturday is Cade Cunningham (+1000). Detroit’s face of the franchise has been sensational this season, leading the Pistons to a 29-26 record. However, he’s known more as an all-around player than a shooter. Through 50 games, the first-time All-Star has connected on 35.1% of his three-point attempts. Therefore, it’s no surprise that the guard has accounted for 2% of the handle and 4% of all bets.
