Struggling Western Conference squads clash tonight when the 24-22 Suns visit the 24-23 Warriors. In spite of lineup reshuffling and Bradley Beal drama, Kevin Durant has been phenomenal this season. Even at the age of 36, the former MVP (along with sharpshooter Devin Booker) has kept Phoenix in playoff contention. Against his old team, KD will hope to deliver a vintage performance at the Chase Center.
Phoenix enters tonight’s contest as 1.5-point favorites, with the over/under set at 228.5 points. Here’s the best Durant prop bet to play on DraftKings Sportsbook before Friday’s game tips off.

If not for the inconsistent play of his teammates, there would be more discussion surrounding Durant’s phenomenal 2024-25 campaign. This season, the 14-time All-Star has averaged 27.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists. Most impressive has been KD’s efficiency, as he’s shot 52.7% from the field and 40.2% from three-point range.
The veteran will face his former employer tonight, the Warriors. Golden State has dealt with its fair share of drama and injuries. At the moment, the team is somewhat depleted with Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) and Draymond Green (calf) both out. Without the former, a gifted scorer, and the latter, a defensive menace, the Dubs are much weaker on both ends of the floor. A savvy pro like Durant is sure to take advantage.
The natural urge is to back Durant as a scorer, as it’s what he does best. However, the forward’s underrated rebounding skills should be on display in this contest. This season, the Warriors have allowed the seventh-most boards per game to opponents (53.0). Most of those numbers were recorded with Green active. Over his last five meetings with Golden State, KD has snagged eight or more rebounds four different times.
Right now, the only big men head coach Steve Kerr can feel comfortable playing are Kevon Looney and Trayce Jackson-Davis. Others, such as rookie seven-footer Quinten Post, might get minutes, but it’s unlikely to be for long. Buoyed by newly acquired center Nick Richards, Durant should have an active night on the glass. At even money, the former MVP offers terrific value in this primetime showdown.
Best Bet: Kevin Durant over 6.5 rebounds (+100)
