The Beam has officially been lit, and it shows no signs of stopping any time soon. Victors of seven straight — the longest active win streak in the NBA — the Sacramento Kings are 20-19, firmly in the play-in picture and just 3.5 games back of hosting a home playoff series. Two weeks ago, in my New Year’s Resolution’s piece, I wrote that the Kings weren’t going anywhere this season and that the priority should be evaluating Doug Christie as a head coach.
So far, Sacramento is doing both, as Christie is 7-1, with some extremely impressive victories, including a 17-point road win in Boston without De’Aaron Fox. In that game, center Domantas Sabonis had a 23-point, 28-rebound masterpiece. This season, Sabonis is averaging 20.7 points and 14.2 rebounds per game. He has led the league in the latter category in each of the past three seasons.
Tonight, Sabonis and the Kings will travel to Milwaukee to take on the 20-17 Bucks, who have been one of the hotter teams in basketball in recent weeks before taking a blowout loss at the hands of the New York Knicks in their most recent matchup.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Sacramento is a two-point underdog and the point total is set to 229. Below, I’ve highlighted my favorite prop bets centered around Sabonis.

Domantas Sabonis 16+ Rebounds (+130)
Sabonis is one of the greatest rebounders of all time; his 19.05% total rebounding percentage is the 16th-best in NBA history, which is especially impressive given that Sabonis, at six feet, 10 inches tall, is an inch shorter than than the position average. Even by his lofty standards, Sabonis has controlled the glass especially well in recent weeks. In his last 10 games, Sabonis has snagged double-digit rebounds in each contest and averaged 17.3 boards per game across that span. Sure, his 28-rebound performance was aided by the fact that the Celtics like to play five-out, but Boston has actually been an average rebounding team this season.
Milwaukee, meanwhile, does struggle against opposing bigs, allowing 45.3 rebounds per game, the seventh-highest total in the league. Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has virtually eschewed the three-ball from his game and is shooting a blistering 59.8% while averaging 11.9 boards per game, can’t do it all. The Bucks’ rebounding weakness starts with center Brook Lopez, whose 4.7 rebounds per game are by far the fewest among the NBA’s regular starting centers. Sabonis has averaged 13.3 rebounds in his last four games against Lopez.
Domantas Sabonis Triple-Double (+425)
Sabonis led the league with 26 triple-doubles in 2024-25, when he averaged a career-high 8.2 assists per game. Although his assists are down to 6.3 per game and his assists percentage is down to 26.3% — both the lowest in his Kings tenure — he’s still the second-best playmaking center in basketball and always a threat to dish out a dime from the high post. Although he has only recorded five triple-doubles so far this season, it’s still good for the fourth-most in basketball.
This is a bet on two trends, Sacramento’s improved health and some regression — or improvement — to the mean in Sabonis’ case. The only regular player in the Kings’ rotation who has an injury designation for tonight’s game is shooting guard Malik Monk, who is officially sidelined with groin soreness. In Fox’s first game back, Sabonis dished out eight assists. With Monk — who’s having the best playmaking season of his career — out, Sabonis might take on additional ball-handling duties, making him a good bet to hit double-digit assists for the sixth time this season.
