Mark Andrews +150
Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
News came out earlier in the week that Zay Flowers would miss the Wild Card game against the Steelers. Taking away a big weapon like Flowers will open up more in the red zone for others. I think Andrews is a perfect play to bet on with this news. He’s been seeing a lot of targets in the red zone lately, drawing six over the last four games. Coming into this game, Andrews has scored in every game dating back to Week 12, which includes the Ravens Week 16 matchup against the Steelers. The loss of Flowers will allow Jackson to spread the ball around more, as he accounted for 25% of the total targets from Jackson during the regular season. This has become one of my favorite Wild Card touchdown bets for the weekend.
Zach Ertz +255
Washington Commanders at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Ertz, like Andrews, is another tight end who has seen a lot of red zone action lately. Over the last two weeks, Ertz saw a massive six red zone targets, bringing his season total to 20. That was even more than Terry McLaurin, who ended the regular season with 15. The Bucs allowed the second-most receiving yards to opposing tight ends, as they averaged over 67 per game. Ertz has been a prominent red zone threat in the second half of the season and scored six of his seven touchdowns beginning in Week 11. With how tough the Buccaneers have been against the run, it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see Jayden Daniels go to the air in these scenarios.
Marvin Mims +360
Denver Broncos at Buffalo Bills
Mims has been a big part of the offense lately, drawing at least four targets in six straight games. While he isn’t getting the deep shots like he was in his rookie season, Mims has been collecting a lot of yards after the catch. Over the last six weeks, he’s averaging over 59 yards after the catch per game for a total of 357. If he’s going to score, it’s likely going from outside the red zone, as Courtland Sutton and the running backs have dominated the touches. As I highlighted in my King of the End Zone article for Sunday, I think he’s also a solid value play to consider. If Mims is going to score, he has the potential to break off one of the long touchdowns we’d need to cash in on this promotion.
