Matsuyama ($9,600; 101 FPTS) was in excellent position after Thursday’s first round, shooting a 65, one shot off the lead. On Friday, he went eight-under once again and leads The Sentry by one stroke heading into the weekend.

It was a bogey-free round for Matsuyma, as he drained four birdies on the front and back nine. He had a three-birdie streak on Holes 4, 5 and 6.

In the $500K Pitch + Putt tournament, Matsuyama is rostered on only 8.59% of teams.

DK Sportsbook has Matsuyama as the favorite to win it all at +250.

Collin Morikawa ($10,100; 71.5 FPTS) made a late charge on Friday, and was the favorite to win it all at +200 with two holes left, but he is now +280 and is one stroke behind Matsuyama.

Morikawa had three birdies sandwiched around a bogey on the front nine. He went NBA Jam on the back nine, notching a birdie on the first hole, before running off a five-birdie streak on Holes 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17.

Thursday’s leader, Tom Hoge ($6,600; 80.5 FPTS), went five-under on Friday after going nine-under on Thursday. It was a blemish-free round with two birdies on the front nine and three birdies on the back nine.

DK Sportsbook has Hoge at +1800 to win it all, the sixth-lowest odds.

Xander Schauffele ($11,000; 34.5 FPTS) entered the tournament as the highest-priced and most-rostered golfer at 39.28%. He is currently T44, as he shot a 72 on Thursday and a 70 on Friday.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
