In a possible near-division-clinching matchup on Saturday Night Football, the Los Angeles Rams host the Arizona Cardinals at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. It’s a tale of two momentum vectors for these teams, with the Rams seemingly headed unstoppably for the playoffs, and the Cardinals sliding toward another disappointing season with Kyler Murray at the helm. Matthew Stafford, meanwhile, won’t stop feeding Puka Nacua ever since Nacua returned to the lineup from an aggravated preseason knee injury. And so his prop bets are slightly difficult to evaluate.
But—it’s primetime on a Saturday night after Christmas! I’ve got a Puka Nacua prop that I think might represent good value tonight. Let’s get into it.

Puka’s usage chart over the last five weeks is just about as manic as his love for the game of football, so it was hard to evaluate his totals for me with any confidence. Having said that, I’m thinking this might be the game to fade Puka’s longest reception market.
I like the under here because, to be honest, other than his 51-yard catch two weeks ago against the Niners—which, indeed, was a Stafford-to-Puka-toss-up special—Nacua’s been used a lot more as an extension of the run game, or a stay-ahead-of-the-sticks playmaker.
Now, there’s always the chance that the Cardinals blow coverage on a screen play that might reach 26-30+ yards. But I love the presence and tough tackling of Budda Baker from the safety position gives me confidence that Puka’s elite YAC ability might not be able to reach its ceiling this week.
The Cards’ defense allows the ninth-fewest explosive passing plays in the NFL (80 of them; explosive plays here categorized as plays of more than 15+ yards through the air). Let’s believe that Tyler Higbee’s return to this offense might allow Stafford to spread the ball out a little more, and not rely so much on Puka at the line of scrimmage.
