Attacking the Cowboys on the ground has been the way to go. On the season, they’re allowed 4.7 YPC (T-9th), 38 explosive runs (T-7th), and 15 rushing touchdowns (3rd). Now, we have Mixon in a workhorse role as a -7.5 point favorite against Dallas and Cooper Rush. I don’t expect this game to be very competitive, and handing off the ball to Mixon should happen plenty. He’s carried the ball at least 25 times in three of the last four games, two of which were losses. If we get another Joe Mixon show, a 100+ rushing yard and two touchdown game seems very likely.

This is more of a long shot SGP with only two legs. I feel good about the Fairbarin one to make at least two field goals. The Texans are averaging just under three field goal attempts per game, which is one of the highest. Fairbarin has been one of the best kickers in the league and he’s taken more 50+ field goal attempts than anyone else in the league.
Then, of course, we have the big leg of the Texans winning every quarter. The Cowboys could only manage six points last week against the Cowboys while they piled on 34 points. With the Texans on a two-game losing streak, this feels like a perfect get-right spot to put this team back on track. We saw what the Lions did on Sunday against the Jaguars, pouring 50+ points on them. With Nico Collins back in the mix and an expected big game from Joe Mixon, I don’t think it would shock anyone to see the Texans win every quarter.

It’s been said that Dowdle is now officially the lead back in this Cowboys offense, but how effective will the ground game be on Monday? Will the Cowboys be able to run the ball much or will they play catch-up early? Dowdle landed on 12 carries last week in the blowout loss to the Eagles before officially being named the starter. Nonetheless, the Cowboys, like last week, may need to abandon the run. Meanwhile, Mixon will continue to carry the ball in a great matchup.
Ferguson is one of the only Cowboys receivers I trust in this matchup. Despite only going for 24 yards last week, he did see five targets from Cooper Rush, something I would expect more of today. The Texans haven’t faced much from opposing tight ends, as the 51 targets they’ve received is the third-fewest in the league. However, they’ve averaged over nine yards per catch on the 27 they’ve made. Rush will likely find his most success throwing over the middle of the field, thus putting me on Ferguson over 35.5 receiving yards.
