I will update this live blog throughout the event, beginning with the Early Card at 5:30 p.m. ET. The Early Card airs on Most Valuable Promotions and the Netflix Sports YouTube channels.
12:40 a.m. ET: Jake Paul defeats Mike Tyson by unanimous decision (80-72, 79-73, and 79-73)
Paul beat Tyson by unanimous decision. Paul moves to 11-1 in his boxing career and won his fifth straight fight. This fight went about how I expected it to go. I thought Paul would be more aggressive and go for a knockout. But it is hard when facing a 58-year-old who didn’t engage for most of the fight.
Paul landed 70 more total punches and 34 more power punches than Tyson. The most punches Tyson landed in a round was five in the third round. Paul showed respect for Tyson after the fight, and the fighters embraced.
12:32 a.m. ET: Tyson vs. Paul – Round 8
Paul landed a nice combination to start the round while Tyson responded. Tyson didn’t throw a ton of punches in the last round. Not a lot happened in the final round. Paul gets the clean sweep on my card.
10-9, 80-72 Paul
12:28 a.m. ET: Tyson vs. Paul – Round 7
Tyson comes out aggressive early in the seventh round, landing a nice left hand. Paul hit Tyson with a nice body shot. The crowd at AT&T Stadium has been silent. Paul lands a nice combination at the end of the round.
10-9, 70-63 Paul
12:25 a.m. ET: Tyson vs. Paul – Round 6
Paul continues to move on the outside and Tyson cannot close the distance. Tyson was a still target for most of the sixth round. There wasn’t a lot of action this round.
10-9, 60-54 Paul
12:23 a.m. ET: Tyson vs. Paul – Round 5
Paul continues to land on Tyson throughout the fifth round. Tyson landed a left hand but has failed to put together a good combination.
10-9, 50-45 Paul
12:19 a.m. ET: Tyson vs. Paul – Round 4
Paul has landed more than double as many punches as Tyson has landed so far. Paul is calm and isn’t rushing anything. He is picking his spots and is getting everything he wants right now.
10-9, 40-36 Paul
12:16 a.m. ET: Tyson vs. Paul – Round 3
Paul wobbled Tyson with a left hook early in the round. Paul was picking apart Tyson throughout the round. Tyson isn’t throwing as many punches as he did in the first four minutes.
10-9, 30-27 Paul
12:13 a.m. ET: Tyson vs. Paul – Round 2
Paul is dictating the pace of this fight. Tyson is having moments moving forward, but Paul is more active on his feet. Paul looked more comfortable in this round and Tyson seemed to slow down a little bit.
10-9, 20-18 Paul
12:09 a.m. ET: Tyson vs. Paul – Round 1
Through the first two minutes, both Tyson and Paul each landed effective punches. There was a lot of clinching between both fighters in the first round. Paul landed the more important punches in the round.
10-9, Paul
11:19 p.m. ET: Katie Taylor defeats Amanda Serrano by unanimous decision (95-94 x 3)
This fight featured two of the greatest women’s boxers in history. The first fight was excellent and one of the best fights of 2022. This one had a lot to live up to, and it delivered. Taylor beat Serrano via unanimous decision for the second time. From the beginning, Serrano was the more aggressive fighter. She hurt Taylor at the end of the first round. But Taylor stayed calm and found success in the second half of the contest.
Taylor headbutted Serrano multiple times, leading to the doctor having to check and see if she could continue in the sixth round. Serrano continued to fight, but the bleeding from her eyebrow didn’t stop. Serrano outlanded Taylor 324-217 in total punches while landing 80 more power punches.
In the last four rounds, both fighters stood in the center of the ring and exchanged big punches. In the eighth round, the referee took a point from Taylor for another headbutt. It is hard for a sequel to be compared to the original, but Taylor and Serrano put on a masterpiece. This is the best women’s rivalry in history, and a trilogy is worthy, even though Serrano lost both.
Up next is the main event featuring the return of “Iron” Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul.
10:08 p.m. ET: Mario Barrios vs. Abel Ramos ends in a Split Draw (114-112 Ramos, 116-110 Barrios, and 113-113)
Barrios vs. Ramos for the WBC Welterweight title ended in a split draw. Barrios remains the WBC champion since he was defending his title. After Terence Crawford moved up to 154 pounds, Barrios was promoted to WBC Welterweight champion.
This fight was a bloody war. Barrios was in complete control through the first five rounds and knocked Ramos down in the second round. Ramos bounced back and knocked Barrios down in the sixth round after landing two big right hands. Barrios out-landed Ramos by 75 total punches. Although Barrios landed more total punches, Ramos outlanded Barrios 146-116 in power punches. Up next is the co-main event featuring the re-match between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
8:53 p.m. ET: Neeraj Goyat defeats Whindersson Nunes by unanimous decision (60-54, 60-54, and 59-55)
Goyat beat Nunes by unanimous decision in the first fight of the Main Card on Netflix. This was domination throughout the entire fight. Global superstar Nunes made his professional boxing debut after four exhibition fights in the last two years. He has 58.6 million followers on Instagram, 44.7 million subscribers on YouTube, and 27.7 million on X.
Goyat started this fight as the aggressor, pressuring Nunes while unloading punches. This is Goyat’s 20th professional victory. He now has a record of 20-4-2. This was his second win in a row and first in the previous 18 months. Goyat outlanded Nunes 171-87 in total punches while landing 148 power punches.
7:58 p.m. ET: Shadasia Green defeats Melinda Watpool by split decision (97-93, 94-96, and 96-94)
Green vs. Watpool was another very close fight, just like Bahdi vs. Casamonica. Green lost her first professional bout in 2023 but bounced back and has now won two straight fights. Green is now the new WBO Middleweight Champion. Although Green won the judges’ decision, Watpool outlanded her 111-93 in total punches. Watpool also landed seven more power punches than Green did.
7:18 p.m. ET: Lucas Bahdi defeats Armando Casamonica by a majority decision (95-95, 96-93, and 98-92)
After brutally knocking out Ashton Sylve in July, Bahdi beat Armando Casamonica by a majority decision. Bahdi was a heavy favorite in this fight but was tested throughout the contest by Casamonica.
The 30-year-old Canadian moves to 18-0 and is a top-20 contender in the lightweight division, according to Boxrec. Bahdi outlanded Casamonica 124-113 in total punches. Bahdi finished the fight with six more power punches than Casamonica did. Although it was a tougher fight than Bahdi expected, he continues to thrive in big moments.
7:12 p.m. ET: Tyson vs. Paul announced as the biggest non-Las Vegas boxing gate in US history
Netflix and Most Valuable announced that this event is the biggest boxing gate in United States history outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. Tyson vs. Paul has surpassed a $17.8 million gate. This is also the biggest gate in Texas combat sports history, passing Canelo Alvarez vs. Billy Joe Saunders in 2021. Below is the official press release.

6:24 p.m. ET: Bruce Carrington defeats Dana Coolwell by unanimous decision (80-70 x 3)
The pride of Brooklyn, New York, Carrington moves to 14-0 in his professional career. He was a big favorite over Coolwell, who took this fight on short notice. Coolwell put up a good fight, but Carrington dictated the pace of this fight from the start to the end. Carrington is 27 years old and one of the sport’s best-rising stars.
He is ranked #13 in the featherweight division on BoxRec and will have big fights in the future. Carrington out-landed Coolwell 237-82 in total punches. With a left hook, Carrington knocked Coolwell down in the fourth and eighth rounds.
On Friday, November 15, the highly anticipated boxing event between Mike “Iron” Tyson and Jake “The Problem Child” Paul will take place at AT&T Stadium. This spectacle will air live on Netflix at 8:00 p.m. ET, the network’s first combat sports event broadcast on its platform.
This is a professional heavyweight eight-round bout. Although it is a sanctioned fight, they aren’t using a traditional rule set. Each round will be two minutes instead of the usual three-minute rounds for men’s fights. Tyson and Paul will wear 14-ounce gloves instead of the standard 10-ounce gloves.
Tyson was initially scheduled to face Paul on July 20. The date was moved after Tyson suffered an ulcer flareup. Tyson said in the Netflix pre-fight documentary that he threw up blood and lost 26 pounds.
This is Tyson’s first professional boxing fight since he fought Kevin McBride in 2005. Tyson lost that fight and hasn’t won a pro-fight since he beat Clifford Etienne in 2003. Since then, Tyson has competed in two exhibition bouts, one in 2006 against Corey Sanders and more recently against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.
Even though he started only four years ago, Paul’s boxing accomplishments are incredible. He has defeated two former UFC champions, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva. Paul also beat former Bellator and ONE Championship welterweight champion Ben Askren and BKFC King of Violence champion Mike Perry.
