Top five fantasy football sleeper wide receivers to start in NFL Week 10

Every week, wide receivers step up and deliver big games that often decide who wins fantasy football contests. While some of the biggest names reliably produce ever week, there are also options that step up from the fringes that can give your lineup a huge boost.

Every Saturday, I’ve been diving into the bargain bin to help you find the best sleepers at the position. Whether you’re in search of additions from the waiver wire to fill your season-long fantasy roster or looking for a low-cost option for your DFS roster, these sleeper wide receivers are set up for success in NFL Week 10.

In week 10, there are 10 games on the main Sunday afternoon slate on DraftKings. The big DFS contest is the NFL $2.75M Fantasy Football Millionaire [$1M to 1st], and there are plenty of different ways to get in on the action in what should be another fun Sunday.

On Monday, I listed my top-25 plays at the position. Most of my sleepers in this post don’t quite crack that list, but they bring value upside if you need an emergency option for your season-long team or a DFS bargain.

My five sleeper wide receivers last week were Jalen Coker ($3,600; 5.6 FPTS), Parker Washington ($3,600; 7.1 FPTS), Noah Brown ($4,000; 11 FPTS), DeVaughn Vele ($3,600; 3.1 FPTS) and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine ($3,500; 16 FPTS).

Here are my top five fantasy football sleepers at WR for Week 10.

Noah Brown, Washington Commanders ($4,300)

Noah Brown is in the Hall of Fame! Well, actually, at least his gloves are:

Brown has emerged as more than just a Hail Mary target, though over the last few weeks. He has operated as the Commanders’ second receiver behind Terry McLaurin ($7,300). He had just one target in a blowout win against the Panthers when Jayden Daniels ($7,500) left early with an injury, but other than that down game has been regularly involved with at least four targets in every game he has played since Week 4.

He had 16.3 fantasy points in his Hail Mary game and followed that up with 11.0 fantasy points last week against the Giants, catching five passes on six targets for 60 yards.

The Commanders are in what should be an exciting Sunday afternoon matchup against the Steelers, who are returning from their bye week. Even though there may not be a ton of points, Brown has risen to the point where he can be a solid option at this price point with a high ceiling if he gets intot he end zone once again.

Ray-Ray McCloud III, Atlanta Falcons ($4,300)

McCloud has also carved out a role in his team’s offense as the season has progressed, and he’s locked in as the Falcons’ third receiver, which means he’s on the field almost constantly given their formations and packages. This week against the Saints, he could be in for an even bigger role since the team’s top receiver, Drake London ($6,700; hip) is questionable. If he’s out or limited, McCloud could step up and take advantage of this great matchup against the Saints with a huge week.

Last week, McCloud hauled in all three passes targeted his way for 28 yards and a touchdown. He finished with 12.5 fantasy points, giving him three games in his last five with double-digit fantasy points. It was his first touchdown of the season. Come for the touchdown highlight; stay for the McCloud cartoon graphic where FOX pays homage to his impressive hair style.

McCloud has at least three targets in every game this season and is averaging 3.6 catches for 33.9 yards per game. He gets a great matchup against the Saints this week, and if London is out, he could end up the key to unlocking the slate.

For season-long leagues, McCloud has potential to be a flex play in a elevated role, but he doesn’t have quite as much long-term upside as some of the other options highlighted here.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Tennessee Titans ($3,800)

If it isn’t broken… I’m going back to Westbrook-Ikhine for a third straight week since the Titans’ receiver continues to put up good numbers every week. He scored a touchdown for a fourth consecutive week against the Patriots last week and had season-highs in catches, targets and receiving yards as well.

NWI is basically serving as the team’s No. 2 receiver behind Calvin Ridley ($5,700) after the trade of DeAndre Hopkins ($5,300) to the Chiefs. Tyler Boyd ($3,500) is also involved out of the slot, but he wasn’t targeted at all last week against New England.

One thing has me hesitant to go back to Westbrook-Ikhine this week: the fact that Will Levis ($4,900) is back after his shoulder injury. The past few weeks’ success has come with Mason Rudolph ($4,900) at QB, and it’s possible that NWI won’t have the same rapport with Levis. While the change in QB does make him higher-risk, it also raises NWI’s ceiling since the offense has more upside with Levis, who takes more deep shots than Rudolph.

Mack Hollins, Buffalo Bills ($3,300)

The Bills will be without Keon Coleman (wrist) and possibly Amari Cooper ($5,800; wrist, questionable) for their game this week indoors in Indianapolis, where there is plenty of potential for points in what should be a high-scoring game.

I highlighted Hollins along with his teammate Khalil Shakir ($6,000) as a value play on Friday when Coleman was ruled out, and I think he’s an awesome option at barely over the minimum salary since he’ll likely run most of the routes that Coleman usually does. He will be an even better play if Cooper is out as well.

Last week, Hollins scored his third touchdown of the year and finished with a season-high five catches.

That touchdown came on fourth down, showing how much Josh Allen ($7,700) trusts him.

He doesn’t have to go crazy to deliver great returns at this DFS salary, and he may be an option over the next few weeks depending on how long the Bills are without Coleman and Cooper. He can be a late-week plug-and-play option in season-long leagues, especially if Cooper isn’t ready to carry the load this week.

Kendrick Bourne, New England Patriots ($3,200)

The Patriots offense has been consistently inconsistent for their wide receivers this season. While Drake Maye ($5,800) has shown good potential and had some good games, the wide receiver production has also been very volatile week to week.

Demario Douglas ($4,400) has had some solid games but works mostly out of the slot which leaves more potential on the outside. Last week, it looked like Bourne was ready to step into that space and produce. The veteran former-49er got a late start to the year after a knee injury but his snap count has been creeping up since his Week 5 season debut.

Last week, he took the leap and had four catches on six targets for 41 yards. While his 8.1 fantasy points didn’t light the world on fire, it was more than he had combined in his first four games of the season.

At this point, he’s a speculative stash in season-long leagues and a flier play in DFS, but he has the ability and potential to be the Patriots top receiver the rest of the season. He was rumored to be in trade discussions at the Trade Deadline, but now he should be ready to roll the rest of the way with the Pats.
