We’re continuing to see line movement in the odds for the 2024 Presidential Election as the race intensifies heading into the campaign’s final stretch.
Former President Donald Trump currently leads with –165 odds, solidifying his position as the betting favorite. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris’ odds have moved in the opposite direction to +135, signaling a slight dip in her chances. When we checked in earlier this week Trump held -140 odds with Harris trailing at +110. A reminder, presidential election odds on DraftKings Sportsbook are currently available only in Ontario, Canada.
This latest movement continues a trend we’ve been seeing on DraftKings for the past month. Harris was riding high in September, reaching odds as high -135 less than a month ago. However, since that point the winds of change have blown in Trump’s direction. The chart below offers a stark visual picture of the change in fortunes, with Trump’s odds moving further and further toward the favorite position and Harris heading into territory Trump found himself in just one month ago. It remains to be seen if there is enough time in the race for things to even back out, even as polling shows the race remains historically close.
RealClear Polling has Harris at +1.5 an average of national polls. However, Trump is gaining ground in nearly all battleground states, strengthening his position ahead of Election Day. He holds slim leads across critical states, including Pennsylvania (+0.5), North Carolina (+1.2), Georgia (+0.9), Arizona (+1.1), Michigan (+1.0) and Nevada (+0.5). Wisconsin is currently the only battleground where Vice President Kamala Harris edges ahead with a narrow lead of +0.3. These tight margins reflect how competitive the race remains, with both candidates vying for critical electoral votes in states that could swing the election outcome.
As the 2024 election heats up, both candidates strategically focus their efforts where it counts. Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Wisconsin tonight, aiming to strengthen her slim lead in this pivotal battleground state. Meanwhile, Donald Trump will attend the prestigious Al Smith Dinner in New York City, leveraging the high-profile event to amplify his campaign’s message.
