Following the Presidents Cup, the fall swing continues this week with the Sanderson Farms Championship. This event will be played at the Country Club of Jackson (par 72, 7,461 yards, Bermuda greens) in Jackson, Missouri, which has been the home of the Sanderson Farms Championship since 2015. Last year, Luke List (-18) was the last man standing of a five-man playoff to win this tournament. This week, the Sanderson Farms Championship is hosting a 132-player field and there will be a standard top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.
The CC of Jackson is a long, treelined par 72 that is home to large greens, 56 bunkers, and water in play on five holes. Given this course’s length and that the rough isn’t overly penalizing, elite drivers have had an advantage at the CC of Jackson and need to be our priority this week. Of the last five winners at this par 72, three have finished the event top-five in SG: Off the Tee and three have finished the tournament top-10 in driving distance.
Being efficient with your irons is also essential at the CC of Jackson, despite this track presenting large putting surfaces. Over the last four years, three of the victors at the CC of Jackson have ranked top-six in SG: Approach during their wins.
Finally, with the CC of Jackson being a classic par 72 home to four par fives, strong par-5 players are sharp targets. All four of the par fives at the CC Jackson are extremely scoreable and three of the past five winners at this course have finished the event top-seven in par-5 efficiency.
Below, I dive into four of my favorite DraftKings bargain plays for the Sanderson Farms Championship that all cost less than $7.5K.

Cameron Champ ($7,400) – Champ is one of the best drivers on the planet and is the exact type of player we want to be targeting at a bomber’s paradise like the CC of Jackson. Champ leads the entire PGA TOUR in both SG: Off the Tee and driving distance this season, and he has notably gained strokes OTT at eight consecutive events. In addition to the elite work with his driver, Champ’s putter has been hot, with him gaining strokes on the greens at five straight tournaments.
Champ has made two of his last three cuts—most notably with a T12 at the 3M Open—and the 29-year-old is a previous winner at the CC of Jackson. At the 2018 Sanderson Farms Championship, Champ ran away with a four-shot victory at -21, which is the second best winning score ever recorded at the CC of Jackson. Furthermore, Champ finished T9th at this par 72 last season and has never finished worse than T28th in three appearances at the CC of Jackson. Champ’s game fits this course like a glove and he is a steal at this cheap price tag.
Joel Dahmen ($7,200) – Including back-to-back T13 finishes the past two years, Dahmen has made four straight cuts at the CC of Jackson. As for his current form, Dahmen has made 10 of his last 13 cuts including three top-30 finishes, thanks to some impressive ball striking. For the season, the veteran ranks top-35 in SG: Tee to Green, SG: Approach and SG: Off the Tee.
Dahmen should add another quality finish to his Sanderson Farms resume this weekend and is a strong option for all formats at this affordable cost.
Nick Hardy ($7,100) – Hardy is one of the best bargains on the board at this low salary. The 28-year-old has been excellent at the CC of Jackson, never missing a cut in three tries at the par 72,—including a T5 two years ago. His 22nd place career average finish at the CC of Jackson ranks fourth in this field among players who have competed at least twice at the track, and Hardy’s success at the CC of Jackson should continue this week considering his form.
Hardy has advanced to the weekend in 10 of his last 14 starts, and he ranks 11th in SG: Approach and 19th in SG OTT when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds.
Pierceson Coody ($7,000) – Not be mistaken with his twin brother Parker, Pierceson Coody is a terrific option this week. The former Texas Longhorn has been consistent as of late, making nine cuts in a row, including a T5 at the Charles Schwab Challenge in May. Coody has never competed at the CC of Jackson before, but he has the driver to flourish at this track, with him ranking top-30 in both SG OTT and driving distance when we analyze this field’s last 24 rounds.
Plus, Coody ranks 10th in BOB% and 12th in SGP during this time, setting him up perfectly for this likely birdie fest.
