After blowing a 14-point lead last weekend in Buffalo, the Cardinals came out in front of their home crowd ready to make a statement.
Kyler Murray ($6,600; 28.54 FPTS) reminded the league that when he’s healthy, few quarterbacks are as spectacular. The 27-year-old had a perfect passer rating while tossing for 266 yards and a trio of touchdowns. His elusiveness in the pocket gave the Rams‘ front seven fits as they struggled all afternoon to contain Murray’s blazing speed. He added 59 yards on the ground and immediately put his name into the early MVP conversation.
Rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. ($6,900; 32 FPTS) responded to his quiet debut by decimating the Los Angeles secondary. The first-round pick brought in four catches for 130 yards while scoring his first two NFL touchdowns. Any concerns about his ability to translate his game to the next level have faded just as fast as they appeared.
On the flip side, it was a tough showing for Matt Stafford ($6,000; 7.64 FPTS), who had to navigate behind a makeshift offensive line and without his top two targets on the outside. He struggled to stay upright and couldn’t overcompensate for the mess around him.
