Ian O’Connor is making the round in support of his new book about Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers has become something of a lightning rod in recent years, but the first kind of public kerfuffle involving Rodgers involved his estrangement from his family. Famously, Aaron’s brother Jordan was a contestant on the Bachelorette in 2016, where he revealed that Pro Bowl QB was estranged from the family.
So in his reporting for the book, O’Connor wanted to tackle what caused this familial rift. And he says he found a simple answer: Olivia Munn.
O’Connor says Aaron’s parents blame the actress/former girlfriend, saying she seemingly notarized Aaron’s feelings that the family revolved too much around his success and that his generosity with the family wasn’t being acknowledged. O’Connor says one relative told him that Aaron found a comrade in Olivia who basically confirmed the things he was already thinking about. So you could blame her for that, even though he already seemed to have issues with his brothers and vice versa. Also, let’s not forget that Rodgers and Munn broke up way back in 2017 and the estrangement remains, so make of that what you will.
