In case you missed it, here are the top salaries by position for the Week 1 slate:

GoJo says DFS on DraftKings just feels like home to him, having played on the platform for so long. He LOVES hunting for value. Now, he notes that Jason Fitz is traditionally very frugal. So with that knowledge in mind, will Jason be paying up for Josh Allen at $8K?

Jason says that he actually likes Allen, noting that organizationally it seems like the Bills believe that it doesn’t matter what weapons Allen has around him, he’s still going to come through with touchdowns. So Jason says if the Bills believe that the secret sauce for their offense is still putting it on Allen’s legs and shoulders that still means something. So he thinks Allen is still a smart play even at his salary, especially since he thinks the Cardinals’ defense is going to be trash.

As GoJo points out, so much of DFS is looking at the week-to-week matchups. He says when he builds his lineups he always picks the QB fourth or fifth on the list of players he rostering. He looks toward the running back and receiver talent first because QBs are only going to account for so much. He finds it fascinating to look at Anthony Richardson at $6,300 taking on the Texans, one of the better defenses in the league at times last season. GoJo notes that people are expecting to have a very special, Josh Allen-type of season, so if you’re looking for a dual threat who brings a lot of value Richardson has some upside, at least until he gets priced up later in the season.

Fitz, however, says Richardson scares the hell out of him because while he looked good last season before getting hurt he didn’t get the reps he needed due to that injury. So now we have to figure out the rust and evolution of his game. But then again, he’s just very quarterback-nervous heading into this season. Maybe it has something to do with what his beloved Raiders have going on under center.

Looking at the running backs, right below Jonathan Taylor is Bijan Robinson at $7,700. GoJo notes that this salary is likely a bet on the notion that the regime change in Atlanta could unlock Robinson some after most believed the Arthur Smith administration held back one of the most talented — and misused — running backs in the NFL. So is Fitz buying Bijan as an RB1? Yes, as he says the subtraction of Arthur Smith helps in every way possible. Fitz thinks the Falcons offense could be explosive from Week 1 if Kirk Cousins looks like the Kirk Cousins of old and he could see Bijan taking a massive and being a home run for fantasy players this season.

Looking even further down the list, GoJo says De’Von Achane at $6,800 is a home run waiting to happen. GoJo thinks that if Achane can pop off the way a lot of people think he can, he will win a lot of people their contests this season.
