To kick off the prelims, Vito Mielnicki Jr. will take on Ronald Cruz in a 10-round super welterweight fight. Mielnicki is 17-1-0 with 12 KOs, while Cruz is 19-3-1 also with 12 wins coming by knockout. Mielnicki has the age (21 vs 32) and height (6-foot vs. 5-foot-9) advantage, while both fight an orthodox style. Mielnicki is currently a -3500 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook.
In the other prelim to be aired on DraftKings Network, Jesus Ramos squares off with Johan Gonzalez in a 10-round super welterweight bout. Ramos is 20-1-0 with 16 wins coming by way of knockout. Gonzalez, meanwhile, is 34-2-0 with 33 KOs. The two fighters are very evenly matched from a metrics perspective, coming with the same height (5-foot-10) and weight (154 pounds), although Gonzalez has a slight reach advantage (72½” vs. 72”). Ramos is a southpaw while Gonzalez fights an orthodox style. Ramos is currently a -1600 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook.
