The 2024 WNBA Draft will take place on Monday, April 15 from the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, New York. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and will broadcast on ESPN. This is arguably the most anticipated draft class in WNBA history as several college superstars like Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, LSU’s Angel Reese, and Stanford’s Cameron Brink will be stepping into the professional ranks.

The Indiana Fever own the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft and barring a big surprise, they are expected to select Caitlin Clark. This is actually the second straight year the team will have the top selection as it used last year’s No. 1 pick on Aliyah Boston, who ended up winning Rookie of the Year honors. While the Fever missed the playoffs in 2023, they showed big improvement by cracking double-digit wins for the first time since 2019. With a projected starting lineup of Clark, Boston, Erica Wheeler, NaLyssa Smith, and leading scorer Kelsey Mitchell, Indiana is expected to make another leap forward as a possible playoff contender.

The Los Angeles Sparks own both the No. 2 and No. 4 picks in the draft and that will give them a chance to draft a pair of franchise cornerstones in the aftermath of former Nneka Ogwumike leaving for Seattle in the offseason. The Chicago Sky will select at No. 3 while Dallas Wings will round out the top five.
