The Milwaukee Bucks will be back in action Wednesday when they take on the Brooklyn Nets, who just handed the Pistons a record 27th straight loss this season. The Bucks hope to catch the Nets a bit fatigued on the second night of a back-to-back set, but Milwaukee’s star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo could potentially sit this game out. Here’s the latest on his status.

Giannis Antetokounmpo injury updates

Update: Antetokounmpo is going to play in Wednesday’s game.

Antetokounmpo has officially been listed as questionable due to injury management, although it’s not quite clear exactly what the problem is. The Bucks aren’t playing a back-to-back set here, and they don’t have one coming up until January 3 and 4. Antetokounmpo has been playing a lot of minutes, averaging 35.9 minutes per game over his last 10. He’s played in 19 consecutive games and could use a breather.

If Antetokounmpo doesn’t suit up, Damian Lillard will be the primary offensive force for Milwaukee. Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis likely man the interior with the latter likely getting the start, while Khris Middleton will also see an increase in usage if Antetokounmpo is out.
