What are the odds for Jimmy Butler’s next team on DraftKings Sportsbook?

Jimmy Butler wants OUT of Miami and on Thursday night he turned up the Heat (pun intended) on Pat Riley to acquiesce.

After a 128-115 loss to the Pacers in which Butler scored just 9 points to go along with 4 assists and 2 rebounds in 27 minutes, Butler spoke about how he just wants to find his joy in basketball again. When asked if he can find that joy again in Miami? “Probably not.”

Butler is no stranger to forcing his way out of a situation, most notably causing enough of a stir in Minnesota that he was eventually dealt to the 76ers in 2018. However, he may have met his match in the strong-willed Riley, who said in late December that despite reports Butler wanted to be moved the Heat would NOT be trading Butler this season.

So what’s next? Will Butler’s public trade demand be enough to move Riley off his position and force the Heat to trade their disgruntled star in order to get SOMETHING for him and not derail their season? DraftKings Sportsbook now has odds for Butler’s next team.

So who is the odds-on favorite to be Butler’s home following the trade deadline? Miami. Yes, the Heat lead the way with -145 odds, so apparently we think Riley will call Butler’s bluff. The next best odds go to the Warriors at +300. Golden State got off to a fast start, beginning the season 12-3, but have hit the wall of late, losing seven of their last 10 and sitting in 9th place in the Western Conference. The Suns are next at +500, followed by the Rockets at +600 and the Kings and Lakers both at +2000. Jimmy Butler teaming up with LeBron and AD to form a new Big Three in L.A.? Hmmm…interesting.
