When you’re from the 305, there’s only a few artists that can be the difference between a home game and a sellout. But it appears the Miami Dolphins have pulled out all the stops with the AFC East on the line against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
South Florida hip hop legends Uncle Luke, Trick Daddy, Rick Ross and Trina will be the halftime show, with kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday Night Football. No word yet if NBC will cut into programming or show the halftime set somewhere via livestream, but for wagering porpoises (get it, because Dolphins are actually... never mind) fade the Fish at your peril.
Uncle Luke once was the front man for the legendary 2 Live Crew, but now he’s the head football coach of the Edison High School Red Raiders. Trick Daddy, who loves the kids, is a Liberty City native and huge Dolphins fan.
Rick Ross for a time might have been Trick Daddy’s guard when he was in prison, as the former Florida corrections officer has certainly rapped about being on the other side of the law for a long time. Trina is also from Liberty City, and a graduate of Miami Northwestern High.
The crowd at Hard Rock Stadium should be ready to go nuts when four legends take to the stage with home field in the first round of the NFL Playoffs on the line. The Bills are 2.5-point favorites as of now at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total set at 48.5.
But with 50 racks on the corner, we’re not going against the home team here. Their names alone been known to break up happy homes, and also same game parlays.
