The Kansas City Chiefs travel to face the Green Bay Packers in Week 13. Kickoff from Lambeau Field is set for Sunday Night Football as both teams come off impressive wins over respective division rivals last week. The primetime matchup will be a battle of young quarterbacks as Patrick Mahomes duels with Jordan Love.

Chiefs vs. Packers, Week 13: Pick against the spread

The Chiefs haven’t looked nearly as invincible as they have over the past few seasons, but that’s not to take away from their status as a true AFC contender. Kansas City is .500 in their four games, but last week’s 31-17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders may have been the offensive jolt this team needs down the stretch.

Patrick Mahomes finished 27/34 for 298 yards and two touchdowns, while Kansas City’s defense limited the Raiders to just a field goal in the second half.

Green Bay picked up a massive upset on Thanksgiving day by defeating the Detroit Lions 29-22 at Ford Field. Don’t let the final score fool you, the Packers were in complete command of this affair as Jared Goff was at the expense of three lost fumbles, highlighting his ball security as a major issue. The reigning Super Bowl champs pose a different threat, but Jordan Love’s performance 22/32, 268 yards, 3 TDs) is a bright spot to build off of.

Kansas City is 7-4 against the spread this season while Green Bay is 6-5 in the same span. The Chiefs’ record includes an impressive 4-2 mark versus the spread when on the road, and while the Packers’ defense is no slouch the Chiefs’ should have enough to win by at least a touchdown. The Chiefs also boast a +6.8 average scoring margin this season, and last week’s 31-point outing could finally be the breakout party for this unit.
