Week 13 of the NFL season wraps up with a Monday Night Football showdown between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Kickoff from EverBank Stadium is set for 8:15 p.m. ET as Jake Browning will go toe-to-toe with Trevor Lawrence in primetime.

The Jaguars are 8.5-point home favorites versus the Bengals, with all odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Bengals vs. Jaguars, Week 13: Pick against the spread

Cincinnati’s hopeful season continues to slip away as the Bengals ride a three-game losing streak heading into Monday night. Two of those losses have come with Browning under center, as he became the de-facto starter in light of Joe Burrow’s season-ending hand injury.

Once a surefire AFC contender, the Bengals now sit at the bottom of the AFC North standings and will likely look ahead toward reloading for the 2024 season.

The Jaguars evened the score with the Houston Texans last week in the aftermath of a 24-21 win on the road. Jacksonville moved to 8-3 and remains atop what is a surprisingly competitive AFC South division. Lawrence finished 23/38 for 364 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the winning effort, having connected with Calvin Ridley for a score to go alongside his 89 receiving yards on the afternoon.

Cincinnati is just 4-6-1 versus the spread on the season while the Jaguars are a strong 8-3 to date. With a clear quarterback advantage and while playing at home, it’s not rocket science to roll with the favorites in this one. Jacksonville might boast a mere +2.6 average scoring margin, but with a lopsided advantage in terms of offensive talent, they should be able to fend off Cincinnati’s short-handed team by at least two possessions.

The Pick: Jaguars -8.5
