It’s officially the best time of the year, as NFL Best Ball is back on DraftKings.
This format gives players a chance to draft a fantasy football team for a season-long competition that requires no active in-season management, but still provides a full season of drama and competition.

Below I have ranked my top-30 quarterbacks for the 2024 DraftKings NFL Best Ball season.

5. C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
Stroud won offensive rookie of the year en route to a massive first season with Texans in 2023. The former Ohio State Buckeye threw for 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns in just 15 games, while ranking second in the NFL in adjusted yards per attempt, trailing only Brock Purdy.
Stroud averaged the 10th-most QB DKFP per game, and hit the 300-yard passing bonus six times in his 15 starts. Things are looking even brighter for Stroud’s year-two prospects, as the Texans traded for WR Stefon Diggs from the Bills this offseason, and will be getting WR Tank Dell back from his leg injury that he sustained in December.
Stroud has the chance to lead the NFL in touchdown passes in 2024 and could even build on his 167 rushing yards from last year.
10. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
Love was better than anyone could have imagined in his first season as a starter in 2023, ranking second in the NFL with 32 touchdown passes and seventh in passing yards with 4,159. He finished as the QB5 on the season, trailing only Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts and Josh Allen.
Just as a capper, Love posted 24 and 28.4 DKFP in Weeks 16 and 17, respectively, which helped quite a few people win their best ball contests.
The only difference for this Packers’ offense in 2024 will be the addition of Josh Jacobs at RB, who they signed to replace Aaron Jones. Other than that, Love will still have an elite cast of pass catchers to to throw the rock to, including WRs Christian Watson and Jayden Reed, the latter of whom caught eight touchdowns as a rookie last season.
You can easily make the argument Love is too low in the rankings, but this is right in line with his current ADP.
13. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
Daniels has the chance to be a special fantasy quarterback, even in his rookie season. Washington selected him No. 2 overall, and he will be the starter from day one. Daniels had one of the best collegiate seasons you’ll find in 2023, accounting for a whopping 50 touchdowns (10 rushing), along with 1,134 rushing yards, 3,812 passing yards and a nation-leading 13.6 adjusted yards per attempt.
He’ll enter the NFL in a pretty fantasy-friendly situation, with a strong WR corps in Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson, along with elite offensive-mind Kliff Kingsbury as his OC.
Daniels drew a lot of Lamar Jackson comps due to his elite rushing ability, and if he can replicate Jackson’s rookie season of 821 rush yards and five touchdowns, he will easily pay off this QB13 price tag. His ADP should only keep rising as we get closer to training camp.
24. Drake Maye, New England Patriots
Maye had an extremely productive career at North Carolina, where he started each of the past two seasons and threw for a combined 7,929 passing yards (9.0 AY/A) and 62 touchdowns. He also added 1,147 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground.
Maye has prototypical NFL size at 6-foot-4, 223 pounds, and possesses the dual-threat ability that is almost a prerequisite from today’s NFL quarterbacks. The Pats also did their best to make sure their prized rookie will be set up for success from the moment he steps on the field. They drafted Washington standout WR Ja’Lynn Polk in the second round, before then taking UCF WR Javon Baker in the fourth. In addition, New England signed pass-catching RB Antonio Gibson in free-agency, who spent his first four NFL seasons with the Commanders.
Overall, this Patriots offense could be way better than it’s been in the recent past with the new coaching staff and infusion of young talent. Maye should be more than serviceable as a rookie and makes for an excellent QB2 on two-QB builds.
