PITCHER
Stud
Erick Fedde, Chicago White Sox at Minnesota Twins ($7,500) — My DK Network MLB DFS Targets article nailed the pitchers on Monday (Dylan Cease and Chris Paddack). Paddack was a stretch. It worked. Fedde is a stretch. It will work. The win bonus may be out of the question. That stat is not an MLB DFS priority. It’s often out of the pitcher’s control. Strikeouts are within the pitcher’s control. The Twins have struck out in 26.9% of their at-bats vs. right-handed pitchers. Their wRC+ is 80 in that split (.277 wOBA and .133 ISO). Fedde can go deep into this game. He’s not striking everyone out (8.4 K/9), but he can efficiently work through innings with his 46.7% groundball rate. The concern is home runs (2.2 HR/9). It’s not a big one in this matchup. The Twins have 12 home runs vs. RHP (25th) and nine at home in their neutral park (17th).

Dane Dunning, Texas Rangers vs. Seattle Mariners ($6,600) — My MLB Best Bets article and MLB DFS Targets articles are hot. Naturally, the increased confidence creates an urge to go galaxy brain. This is not a cute pick. Dunning should be more expensive. Seattle stinks. Somehow they’re a .500 team. They have the highest strikeout rate vs. RHP (28.2%). Their wOBA is .305 and ISO is .125. The second number is of interest. Dunning’s weakness has been home runs. The groundball pitcher has uncharacteristically surrendered long balls (1.96 HR/9 in 2024; 1.04 HR/9 in 2023 ). If Dunning keeps Seattle from going deep, then he should be able to go deep into the game against the Mariners.
INFIELD
Stud
Gunnar Henderson, Baltimore Orioles vs. Los Angeles Angels ($5,600) — Baltimore’s lineup is loaded with lefties. Griffin Canning ($6,800) allows lefties to leave the yard. The Orioles stack will be popular. Baltimore is arguably the best team in baseball vs. right-handed pitching — .348 wOBA, .220 ISO and 131 wRC+. Henderson is leading the charge with a .460 wOBA, .386 ISO and 209 wRC+ vs. RHP.
Bobby Witt Jr., Kansas City Royals vs. Toronto Blue Jays ($6,300) — Over the last eight games, Witt has scored double-digit fantasy points once. He’s fine. He has 12 HardHits over that span and 42 on the season (60% HardHit%). His wOBA is .414 vs. RHP and ISO is .276 (171 wRC+). He’ll face Kevin Gausman ($8,500) and his 8.16 ERA on Tuesday.

Jordan Westburg, Baltimore Orioles vs. Los Angeles Angels ($4,400) — The stack continues. Westburg provides a significant amount of savings and plenty of upside. Canning is much worse against left-handed batters, but he’s not much better against right-handed batters (5.88 xFIP). Westburg has a .458 wOBA, .352 ISO and 208 wRC+ vs. RHP.
Travis d’Arnaud, Atlanta Braves vs. Miami Marlins ($4,200) — This is chasing. He can’t possibly homer again. That’s what they said on Monday. The Braves catcher has five home runs in the last three games. It’s not a fluke. d’Arnaud has a 47.5% HardHit% this season. Also, Truist Park (Atlanta) favors home runs.
OUTFIELD
Stud
Fernando Tatis, San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies ($6,000) — This was the pick on Monday. It’s the pick on Tuesday. And it will be the pick on Wednesday. Tatis is looking to top his 2021 season. Productive trips to Coors will help the cause. Tatis tripled and walked twice on Monday. The Padres stack failed, but it’s still cheap. The matchup is tougher, but it’s still Coors Field.
Marcell Ozuna, Atlanta Braves vs. Miami Marlins ($5,400) — The Marlins would have loved to keep Ozuna, but all of their young stars escape South Beach. Ozuna holds no hard feelings but he loves beating up his former team. His OPS is .925 against the Marlins. His OPS is 1.097 this season (second in MLB). He should be the highest-priced hitter on Tuesday’s slate.
Value
Colton Cowser, Baltimore Orioles vs. Los Angeles Angels ($4,300) — The rookie strike sout a lot. He had power in the minors (.218 ISO from 2022-2023) and struck out a lot (27% K-Rate). Griffin Canning has been decent at striking out left-handed batters (20% K-Rate). There is some risk, but the reward is too much to ignore. Canning is getting canned by lefty power and Cowser has a ton of it. Against right-handed pitching, Cowser has a .529 wOBA, .439 ISO and 257 wRC+. In his three minor league seasons, 19 of his 23 home runs were against right-handed pitching
Cedric Mullins, Baltimore Orioles vs. Los Angeles Angels ($4,200) — DraftKings priced the Orioles softly. The entire lineup crushes right-handed pitching. They are hard to ignore. It’s impossible to not sprinkle a few into every lineup. Griffin Canning is allowing 3.48 (HR/9), 7.17 FIP, 40.5% Hard% and a 40.5 FB% to left-handed batters. Mullins has a .414 wOBA, .314 ISO and 177 wRC+ vs. RHP.
