There are 15 games on Sunday’s NBA slate as the 2023-24 regular season wraps up, but they are split among the two conferences when it comes to DFS contests at DraftKings. That means everyone is available when it comes to finding value plays. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value, NBA DFS differs.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays $5K or under that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. We are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
Nikola Jovic, Heat, $4,700
There’s an outside shot the Heat get the No. 5 seed, so they’ll play their usual lineup against the Raptors in the second of two back-to-back games between the two sides. Toronto ranks last in the league in fantasy points allowed to opposing power forwards, and Jovic just lit up the Raptors for 34.8 fantasy points. I think he has a big role in this contest and puts up another solid outing Sunday.
Buddy Hield, 76ers, $4,700
Hield has been on and off in his time with the 76ers but he’s still a starter on a team that is desperate to avoid the play-in tournament. The Nets are in tank mode, so Hield has a soft opponent for Sunday’s game. Brooklyn ranks 23rd in fantasy points allowed to opposing wings this season, and Hield’s ability to hit the triple gives him some big upside. Even inconsistent players get hot on occasion, and this matchup could be the one where the 76ers wing goes off.
Lu Dort, Thunder, $4,800
Dort is in a unique situation where he’ll be going against backups for much of Sunday’s contest against the Mavericks. The Thunder will go hard since they have a shot at the No. 1 seed, which means Dort should get decent minutes in this game. He’s hit 22+ fantasy points in six straight, so the consistency is there. The Mavericks rank 26th in fantasy points allowed to opposing small forwards as it is, and they’re sitting out most of their key players. Dort should feast in this game.
Harrison Barnes, Kings, $4,700
Sacramento’s veteran forward has been on fire lately, averaging 28.3 fantasy points per game over the last three games. Barnes is set to get solid minutes Sunday with the Kings in position to escape the 9-10 play-in game. The Kings are also down Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk, so they’ll use Barnes to fill in some those wing minutes. The Trail Blazers are in tank mode and rank 18th in fantasy points allowed to opposing forwards, so it’s worth rostering the Kings forward.
