The Euro 2024 quarter-finals have arrived, and there are some incredibly enticing matchups taking place this weekend in Germany.

I just have no idea who that winner will be.
Spain and Germany have been a class above the rest of the field throughout the course of this tournament, and this quarter-final is expected to be one for the ages. In reality, it’s a shame the bracket broke this way, as a lot of fans would have loved to see this matchup in the final.
Recent history suggests that the Spaniards will win this match, as the Germans have not won an international contest against them since 2014. That said, we all know better than to put too much stock into that statistic, as the hosts have been unconscious on the pitch.
Germany leads Euro 2024 with 10 goals throughout four contests, unsurprisingly also holding the top spot in goal differential with +8. Jamal Musiala has been a revelation, scoring three goals up to this point, while Niclas Fullkrug and Kai Havertz have been extremely productive up top as well. Jonathan Tah will also be reinstated for this match to bolster their defense.
On the other side, Spain boasts an attacking ferocity we haven’t seen in years thanks to the injection of youth on the wings in 16-year-old Lamine Yamal and 21-year-old Nico Williams. Luis de la Fuente’s side still wants to control possession per usual, but they now have the ability to spring out and attack at a moment’s notice. The Spaniards have scored the second-most goals in this tournament with nine and are fresh off a 4-1 victory over Georgia in the Round of 16.
I may not have a firm expectation of who will win this match, but I do thoroughly believe that both sides will continue their recent scoring ways.
