The NASCAR Cup Series will race at Iowa Speedway for the first time on Sunday. DraftKings is rewarding the winner of the Father’s Day fantasy NASCAR contest with a $100K grand prize. 1. Christopher Bell ($10,800) — Short-track package tests matter. Bell tested at Phoenix and won at Phoenix. He tested at Iowa and has two Xfinity Series wins at Iowa.
2. Martin Truex Jr ($9,500) — The Cup Series has never raced at Iowa Speedway. The closest comparable track is Richmond. Truex scored 119 DKFP in the Richmond race.
3. Kyle Larson ($11,000) — Iowa was modeled after Richmond. Larson finished third and scored 96 DKFP in the spring race at Richmond. He also participated in the Iowa test session in May.
4. Denny Hamlin ($10,300) — Iowa is a 7/8 mile short track. NASCAR will implement the 2024 short-track package for the fourth time at an oval track on Sunday night. In the previous three, Hamlin has recorded the best average running position (sixth).
5. Chase Elliott ($8,700) — Although Elliott hasn’t won at a short track in 2024 or led many laps, his average running position of seventh is the second-best. Iowa could be his breakthrough.

6. William Byron ($10,000) — The Hendrick Chevys have been just a tick slower than the JGR Toyotas in the new short-track package. It’s been over a month since the last short-track oval race. It’s possible that the engineers have closed the gap.
7. Ross Chastain ($8,300) — In 2019, Chastain won the Truck Series race at Iowa. This weekend, he’ll be performing double duty and getting extra reps in an Xfinity Series car.
8. Alex Bowman ($8,000) — The showman is living in the shadows. Bowman is quietly having a solid season. His average running position in the short-track package ranks inside the top 10.
9. Ty Gibbs ($9,000) — The JGR Toyotas have been the fastest cars in the 2024 short-track package. Gibbs won two of his three ARCA Series races at Iowa. In the wins, he led 289 of the 300 laps.
10. Tyler Reddick ($8,800) — Phoenix isn’t the best track for comparisons, but there is not a lot of hard data to lean on this weekend. Reddick recorded the best average running position and led the most laps at Phoenix.
11. Joey Logano ($9,300) — Richmond was a night race. Logano has a history of running well at Richmond under the lights. He scored 61 DKFP in the spring night race. Iowa will be raced on Father’s Day at night.
12. Brad Keselowski ($9,200) — The Iowa Speedway Cup Series race is filled with uncertainty. Few know what to expect. Keselowski will have a better idea than most. He participated in the Iowa test session and has three Xfinity Series wins at Iowa.
13. Ricky Stenhouse Jr ($6,000) — JTG Daugherty Racing’s short-track program has not been great this season. The No. 47 Chevy may be lacking in speed. Stenhouse could compensate. His three Xfinity Series at Iowa is tied for the most.
14. Chase Briscoe ($7,400) — It’s hard times at SHR. Pressure breaks or pressure makes diamonds. Briscoe can step up or step out. Iowa is an opportunity. Briscoe has been one of the best Cup Series short-track drivers in the Gen 7 car.
15. Erik Jones ($6,400) — Through three short-track oval races, Jones has an average running position of 17th. With a little bit of luck and the inevitable late-race caution, the Legacy Motor Club Toyota driver could be knocking on the door of a top-10 finish.
