DraftKings Fantasy Golf Picks: 2026 World Wide Technology Championship Predictions, Preview

Updated:

By: Alex Hunter

Following the VidantaWorld Mexico Open won by Andrew Novak, the PGA TOUR remains in Mexico this week for the World Wide Technology Championship at El Cardonal at Diamante (par 72, 7,452 yards, paspalum greens) in Cabo San Lucas. This Tiger Woods-designed course has been the home of the World Wide Technology Championship for the last three years. Ben Griffin (-29) won at El Cardonal last season by two shots. For this week, there will be 120 golfers competing and a top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.

Below, I’ll dive into three of my favorite DFS options on DraftKings for the World Wide Technology Championship.

Top Golf DFS Picks for the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship

Ryan Gerard ($10,200)

Gerard finished T-14 in his last visit to El Cardonal two years ago and he now returns to the Woods design a far more polished player, sitting 173 spots higher in the world golf rankings at No. 23. Gerard secured his first PGA TOUR win at last year’s Barracuda Championship and he has been extremely close to picking up his second victory this season.

Gerard has made 23-of-27 cuts and finished inside the top-10 eight times, including runner-up finishes at the Sony Open, the American Express and the Memorial Tournament. The 27-year-old also finished solo third at the TOUR Championship in August. Afterwards, Gerard posted three straight top-30 finishes in Europe and then, he finished T-4 at the Baycurrent Classic in his return to the PGA TOUR last month, which is his most recent start.

Gerard has shot under par in 20 of his last 24 rounds worldwide and on the PGA TOUR this season, he ranks top-45 in SG APP, SG OTT, SGP and par four performance. Gerard doesn’t have a blemish in his game right now and he should contend in his return to El Cardonal this week.

Seamus Power ($8,100)

Power has a prowess for competing in Mexico. The Irishman finished T-27 in his lone start at El Cardonal last year and he finished T-11 and T-3 at the previous two World Wide Technology Championships, which were played at El Camaleon in Playa Del Carmen. Power has carded nine straight sub par rounds in Mexico and he is in awesome form right now.

Power nearly secured his third PGA TOUR win at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship two weeks ago, losing in a playoff to Austin Smotherman. Before this near-win, Power finished T-7 at the Biltmore Championship Asheville and T-21 at the Bank of Utah Championship to begin the fall swing.

Power has shot 67 or lower in 10 of his 11 rounds this fall and he ranks ninth in total strokes gained when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds. Power should be out for redemption this week after losing the playoff in Bermuda and he should supply another high finish.

Luke Clanton ($7,400)

After beginning the fall swing with a missed cut at the Biltmore Championship Asheville, Clanton has looked strong in his last three starts, finishing T-7, T-11 and T-29. During this span, the former top-ranked amateur in the world has shot under par in all 11 of his rounds, most notably with a 9-under 62 at the Black Desert Resort last month, which tied his career low on the PGA TOUR.

Clanton currently sits 123rd in the FedExCup Fall standings and following the fall swing that concludes in three weeks with the RSM Classic, only the top-125 will earn conditional status for the 2027 PGA TOUR season. Every start is crucial for Clanton right now and his impressive play should continue at El Cardonal.

Clanton finished a solid T-46 in his debut at El Cardonal last year, but the 22-year-old is playing much better golf this time around and he should easily outdo this performance. Clanton ranks eighth in SG APP when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds and we have seen him contend on paspalum greens in the past. At the Puerto Rico Open earlier this year in March, Clanton finished T-5 at Grand Reserve Golf Club, which is his best PGA TOUR finish to date. Since joining the PGA TOUR, Clanton has made 3-of-4 cuts and produced two top-30 finishes at venues that present paspalum putting surfaces.
