Finding the right fantasy football TE sleepers can make a huge impact in Week 6, especially for managers dealing with injuries, difficult matchups or tough start-sit decisions. Beyond the obvious weekly starters, several tight end sleepers could see increased opportunities this week.
Each week, we highlight five tight ends who have a path to outperform expectations because of their role, matchup, recent usage or opportunities in their offense. These picks can help season-long fantasy football managers looking for a sleeper or FLEX option, and we include DraftKings salaries for players in good spots to provide DFS value.
Best Fantasy Football TE Sleepers for Week 6
Here are five fantasy football TE sleepers to consider for Week 6. A quick analysis for each tight end is below.
- Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams ($3,400)
- Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($3,300)
- Eli Raridon, New England Patriots ($2,800)
- Elijah Higgins, Arizona Cardinals ($2,700)
- Mo Alie-Cox, Indianapolis Colts ($2,500)
Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams ($3,400)
Why he’s a Week 6 fantasy football sleeper: Higbee has emerged as a major fantasy contributor in the Rams’ passing game, with at least five catches in each of the last three games and an average of over 15 FPTS per game. Higbee had five catches on six targets in each of the last two games, and even with Colby Parkinson ($3,100) back in action last week, Higbee continued to get almost all the tight end targets. The Cardinals are a great matchup for him this week, since they have allowed the fifth-most FPTS to TEs.
Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($3,300)
Why he’s a Week 6 fantasy football sleeper: Otton has at least three catches in every game this season, including each of the last two games started by Jalon Daniels ($4,800). He hasn’t had huge yardage totals or found the end zone yet this year, but his steady involvement makes him a solid fantasy football sleeper to consider.
Eli Raridon, New England Patriots ($2,800)
Why he’s a Week 6 fantasy football sleeper: Rookie tight end Eli Raridon has been involved for the Patriots all season, and he grabbed the first touchdown of the NFL season in the kickoff game. He had a career-high five catches on five targets against the Raiders last week, totaling 10.7 FPTS. His target share is a little uncertain since he’s the second tight end behind Hunter Henry ($4,000) and A.J. Brown ($6,100) is expected to return in Week 6 against the Jets, but Raridon has shown he can produce solid stat lines and contribute to the passing game under Drake Maye ($6,600).
Elijah Higgins, Arizona Cardinals ($2,700)
Why he’s a Week 6 fantasy football sleeper: Higgins has been getting more work as the Cardinals’ second tight end behind Trey McBride ($7,200), catching multiple passes in three straight games. He had two catches for 19 yards, a touchdown and 9.9 FPTS in Week 4, then followed that up with 8.7 FPTS in Week 5 by catching all three of his targets for a season-high 57 yards. With Marvin Harrison Jr. traded to Houston, a couple of extra targets should be available in the Cardinals’ passing game.
Mo Alie-Cox, Indianapolis Colts ($2,500)
Why he’s a Week 6 fantasy football sleeper: The Colts host the Titans in Week 6 in a favorable matchup, and Alie-Cox may have to step up into a bigger role if Tyler Warren ($5,300; groin, questionable) misses time after sustaining an injury on Friday in practice. Warren dealt with a groin injury in August as well, and it’s uncertain how significant this injury is. If Warren is limited or out, Alie-Cox would get more work in this smash spot. He had two catches on two targets for 14 yards in Week 5 and could potentially get an opportunity to build on that performance.
