NFL Week 6 DraftKings Predictions: Sunday Slate Game Markets for October 18

NFL Week 6 DraftKings Predictions: Sunday Slate Game Markets for October 18

Updated:

By: DK Network AI

Familiar foes will be facing off on Sunday, as six of 12 games feature division rivals.

Kansas City is the only undefeated team taking the field on Sunday and will be facing their polar opposites. The 4-0 Chiefs will be hosting an 0-5 Chargers team that has lost by progressively smaller margins. Tennessee, one of the league’s two other winless teams, is also in a divisional game, taking on the Colts.

The extremes are worth knowing before the window opens. Chicago and Atlanta own the two best rushing offenses in football and meet in Atlanta. The Rams lead the NFL in total offense and rank third in total defense while sitting at 2-3. Dallas has the league’s worst pass defense by passer rating and draws a Green Bay team that throws well and cannot run at all.

Here is where each of Sunday’s game markets stands on DraftKings Predictions.

All team and player statistics are from Sportradar NFL and reflect games through Thursday, October 15. Carolina and Kansas City have each played four games.

HOU Texans at JAC Jaguars — 9:30 AM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

Jacksonville’s defense has one glaring seam, and Houston is built to find it. The 4-1 Jaguars allow fewer rushing yards than any team in football and rank second in scoring defense, but they are 30th against the pass. Houston happens to be sixth in passing offense and 31st in rushing.

This game might not be in Duval County, but it may still be fair to call the Jags the home team. Jacksonville is 8-7 all-time in games played in London, including a 19-17 victory over the Eagles last week.

Game Stats

  • Jacksonville allows 14.0 points per game (2nd) and leads the NFL in rushing yards allowed (63.8) at 2.9 per carry
  • The Jaguars rank 30th in passing yards allowed (266.2); Houston is sixth in passing offense (261.8) and 31st in rushing (79.0) at 3.4 per carry
  • Houston is 1-4 with a −2 differential. The Texans’ lone win this season came last week at Tennessee by a score of 26-3
  • C.J. Stroud is fourth in passing yards (1,402) and has not thrown an interception in 185 attempts, but has been sacked 14 times, tied for fourth-most
  • Will Anderson Jr. leads the NFL in both sacks and tackles for loss (10), while Houston is second in team sacks (18)
  • Trevor Lawrence is fourth in passer rating (106.8) with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions; Parker Washington is tied for fourth in receiving touchdowns (4)

TEN Titans at IND Colts — 1:00 PM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

Tennessee is last in the NFL in scoring, total offense and total touchdowns. Not great, Bob!

The 0-5 Titans have reached the end zone just six times in five games. What makes the record harder to read is that the defense has been respectable. Indianapolis is the mirror image. The Colts rank 10th in scoring despite ranking 30th in team passer rating, and they have given away the ball far more than they have taken it.

Game Stats

  • The Titans’ defense is mid-pack: 21.8 points allowed per game (T-11) and 3.5 yards per carry allowed (5th)
  • Indianapolis is 10th in scoring (24.8) despite ranking 30th in team passer rating (73.6)
  • The Colts are 27th in points allowed (27.6) and 28th in total yards allowed (384.2), and their −6 turnover margin ranks tied for 31st
  • Both teams have two takeaways, tied with Dallas for the fewest in the NFL
  • Jonathan Taylor has six rushing touchdowns (T-4) on 101 carries; Spencer Shrader leads the NFL in points scored (58)

CAR Panthers at PHI Eagles — 1:00 PM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

Carolina has quietly built the most productive passing attack in football on a per-game basis, and Bryce Young leads the NFL in passing yards per game. The Panthers are third in total offense, but the problem is everything that happens when the other team runs the ball. Carolina ranks 31st in rushing yards allowed and dead last in yards per carry allowed.

On the other hand, Philadelphia may not be equipped to punish that. The Eagles are last in the NFL in first downs per game and run for 91.6 yards per game, tied for 23rd. Philly has been scuffling, losing three straight after a 2-0 start.

Game Stats

  • Carolina is third in total offense (405.8) and second in passing (301.2); Bryce Young leads the NFL in passing yards per game (317.0) with nine touchdowns and two interceptions
  • The Panthers are 31st in rushing yards allowed (156.5) and last in yards per carry allowed (5.4)
  • Philadelphia is last in the NFL in first downs per game (14.4), 30th in total offense (262.2) and 29th in scoring (18.4)
  • Four of the Eagles’ five games have been decided by eight points or fewer
  • Saquon Barkley has 36 carries for 182 yards and no touchdowns in four games; Philadelphia is tied for 23rd in rushing touchdowns (3)
  • Darius Cooper has four touchdowns on seven catches, tied for fourth in the NFL in receiving touchdowns

PIT Steelers at TB Buccaneers — 1:00 PM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

Both of these teams have a record that depends entirely on the building. Pittsburgh is 3-0 at home and 0-2 on the road. Tampa Bay is 0-3 at home and 1-1 away. Sunday puts the Steelers’ road problem against the Buccaneers’ home problem.

Tampa Bay has seen every game decided by eight points or fewer. The Buccaneers are second in the league against the run, which matters against a Steelers ground game that is ninth in yards per carry and has reached the end zone exactly once.

Game Stats

  • The Buccaneers are second in rushing yards allowed (72.8) at 3.3 per carry
  • Pittsburgh has one rushing touchdown in five games, tied for 31st, even though it is ninth in yards per carry (4.69) and Jaylen Warren is second in yards per rush (5.9)
  • Warren is tied for sixth in rushing yards (410) and fourth in yards from scrimmage (640), with an 80-yard reception, tied for the third-longest catch in the NFL
  • Aaron Rodgers has 10 touchdown passes (T-5) and four interceptions, and has been sacked 14 times (T-4)
  • Bucky Irving is eighth in the NFL rushing yards (406)

BAL Ravens at CLE Browns — 1:00 PM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

Baltimore has done its best work away from home, sitting at 3-0 on the road. The Ravens are fourth in total touchdowns, but Lamar Jackson did not practiced all week and will miss his second straight game. On the ground, Derrick Henry has carried the ball more than anyone in football.

Cleveland arrives with at 3-2 with a −19 point differential, a bottom-four offense and a pass rush tied for seventh. The Browns also cannot protect the quarterback, and that is not a small thing against Baltimore.

Game Stats

  • Baltimore’s three road wins came by 18, three and seven points
  • Derrick Henry is second in both rushing touchdowns (seven) and total touchdowns (eight)
  • Baltimore is fourth in total touchdowns (17), third in rushing (164.4) at 5.1 per carry (3rd) and second in team passer rating (116.8)
  • Deshaun Watson has been sacked 19 times, the most in the NFL; Cleveland is last in the league in sacks allowed
  • Cleveland is 29th in total offense (273.6) and tied for 27th in scoring (18.6), but 2-0 at home and tied for seventh in sacks (16)
  • The Browns and Green Bay are the only teams on the slate above .500 with a negative point differential

NO Saints at NYG Giants — 1:00 PM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

The Giants have really enjoyed home cooking at MetLife, posting a 3-0 record at home and 0-1-1 mark on the road, including last week’s improbable against the Commanders. New Orleans has the opposite split (0-3 at home) and a defense that has been among the worst in football in every category that matters.

Chris Olave has been the exception. He is second in the NFL in receiving yards (537) and receiving first downs (29) and 3rd in receiving yards per game (107.4)

Game Stats

  • The Saints are 31st in points allowed (30.2), 30th in rushing yards allowed (148.8) and 29th in opponent passer rating (106.7)
  • New Orleans has 11 giveaways (T-29) and a −6 turnover margin (T-31); the Giants are tied for sixth in takeaways (8)
  • The Giants have one rushing touchdown in five games, tied for 31st; Isaiah Likely is tied for fourth in receiving touchdowns (4)

CHI Bears at ATL Falcons — 1:00 PM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

Chicago and Atlanta have the two most productive rushing offenses in the NFL, and both defend the run well — Atlanta fourth, Chicago tied for ninth. Both rank in the bottom eight in team passer rating and both have exactly four touchdown passes, although it should be noted that both clubs have dealt with injuries at quarterback. The good news is, it looks like Chicago could be getting start Caleb Williams back under center.

Bijan Robinson has blossomed into a superstar, leading the league in rushing yards. Atlanta’s trouble is location, location, location: The Falcons are 0-2 at home this season.

Game Stats

  • Chicago leads the NFL in rushing yards per game (173.2) and Atlanta is second (166.8), the top two rushing offenses in football
  • Both teams are bottom-eight in team passer rating — Chicago 25th (80.8), Atlanta 29th (74.9) — and both have four passing touchdowns, tied for 27th
  • Bijan Robinson leads the NFL in rushing yards (580), is second in rushing yards per game (116.0) and third in yards per rush (5.7)
  • Chicago is second in rushing touchdowns (10) but has 10 giveaways, 28th in the NFL, and a −4 turnover margin
  • Tyson Bagent has 64 attempts in three games with no touchdowns and three interceptions. But Caleb Williams appears on track to return to the lineup on Sunday.

NYJ Jets at NE Patriots — 1:00 PM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

The Jets have a top-five defense attached to a bottom-six offense. They are fourth in total yards allowed, fourth against the pass and tied for fourth in sacks. But on the offensive side of the football, the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets are tied for 27th in scoring. Geno Smith has been sacked 16 times, but on the plus side, he has not thrown an interception all season.

New England has the opposite kind of imbalance. Drake Maye is tied for the league lead in interceptions and the Patriots are tied for 29th in giveaways, yet they are fourth in points allowed and sit at 3-2 with a +16 differential and two straight wins in which Maye has looked more like the MVP candidate he was last season.

Game Stats

  • The Jets are fourth in total yards allowed (293.0), fourth in passing yards allowed (175.0) and tied for fourth in sacks (17)
  • The Jets are tied for 27th in scoring (18.6) and 26th in total offense (284.0)
  • Geno Smith has 147 attempts without an interception and is third in completion percentage (69.4), but has been sacked 16 times, third-most in the NFL
  • New England is fifth in total yards allowed (296.2), and is 2-0 at home
  • Drake Maye is tied for the NFL lead in interceptions (seven); New England’s 11 giveaways rank tied for 29th and its −5 turnover margin tied for 27th
  • The Patriots are coming off a 45-17 win over Las Vegas and beat Buffalo 29-26 in Week 4
  • New York has the most penalty yards per game in the NFL (82.4)

ARI Cardinals at LA Rams — 4:05 PM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

The Rams are the slate’s puzzle. They lead the NFL in total offense (424.4), passing yards (307.6) and first downs per game (24.6), but rank third in total yards allowed (285.2) and second in passing yards allowed (156.8). Add it up and Los Angeles is 2-3 with a −1 point differential.

Arizona offers the least resistance of anyone. The Cardinals are last in the league in points allowed and 31st in opponent passer rating, and they have lost four in a row.

Game Stats

  • Los Angeles is tied for 13th in scoring (23.8) and 20th in points allowed (24.0)
  • Matthew Stafford leads the NFL in completions (139), attempts (216), passing yards (1,572), passing first downs (78) and air yards (886), and is fourth in interceptions (six)
  • Arizona is last in the NFL in points allowed (32.4) and 31st in opponent passer rating (117.3)
  • The Cardinals have lost four straight, three by 12 points or more; their only win was 26-14 at the Chargers in Week 1
  • Trey McBride is second in the NFL in receptions (42) and third in targets (56)
  • Puka Nacua is second in receiving yards per game (112.3) in three games; Davante Adams is tied for fourth in receiving touchdowns (4)

LAC Chargers at KC Chiefs — 4:25 PM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

The Chargers are 0-5, but their losing margins have shrunk every week — 12, 12, eight, seven, six — and the defense is a genuine top-10 unit against the pass. The offense is what has sunk them: 31st in team passer rating, most giveaways in the league, and a quarterback tied for the NFL lead in interceptions.

Kansas City is the only unbeaten team playing Sunday and leads the NFL in yards per carry, with Kenneth Walker III leading the league in rushing yards per game. The Chiefs’ one oddity is the pass rush, which has produced four sacks all season.

Game Stats from DraftKings Sportsbook

  • Los Angeles is 31st in team passer rating (69.7) and 30th in passing yards (164.6), and leads the NFL in giveaways (13)
  • Justin Herbert is second in the NFL in sacks taken (17)
  • The Chargers’ defense is sixth in passing yards allowed (193.0) and 10th in total yards allowed (311.6)
  • Kansas City leads the NFL in yards per carry (5.5) and is second in total offense (412.0); Kenneth Walker III leads the league in rushing yards per game (134.2), yards per rush (6.2) and has the longest run (76)
  • The Chiefs have just four sacks, tied for 31st, but rank fourth in opponent passer rating (76.8) and are tied for second in turnover margin (+5)

BUF Bills at LV Raiders — 4:25 PM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

It’s a tale of two sides of the ball in Buffalo. The Bills are tied for the NFL lead in points and total touchdowns and lead outright in rushing touchdowns, while ranking 28th in points allowed and 31st in passing yards allowed. Meanwhile, star QB Josh Allen has more rushing touchdowns than passing ones.

Las Vegas is mismatched in its own way. The Raiders are tied for second in takeaways and fourth in penalty discipline, and they are last in the NFL in yards per carry. They arrive off a 45-17 loss last week at New England.

Game Stats

  • Buffalo is tied for the NFL lead in scoring (32.8) and total touchdowns (20) and leads outright in rushing touchdowns (13)
  • The Bills are 28th in points allowed (28.2), 30th in total yards allowed (388.6) and 31st in passing yards allowed (280.4)
  • Josh Allen leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns (eight), one more than he has thrown; James Cook III is third in rushing yards (532)
  • Las Vegas is tied for second in takeaways (10) and fourth in penalty yards (44.2), but last in the NFL in yards per carry (3.0) and 29th in rushing yards allowed (140.6)
  • Kirk Cousins is tied for second in passing touchdowns (12); Brock Bowers is fourth in receiving yards per game (104.0) in three games
  • Ashton Jeanty has 88 carries for 291 yards at 3.31 per carry with no rushing touchdowns
  • The Raiders have lost two straight, including 45-17 at New England; Buffalo is 2-0 on the road

DAL Cowboys at GB Packers — 8:20 PM ET

Pricing reflects market sentiment. Subject to change.

Sunday night is a collision of opposite flaws. Dallas has the worst pass defense in football by opponent passer rating and the worst rush defense by yardage. Green Bay cannot run the ball at all — last in the NFL — but throws it as well as almost anyone, with Jordan Love third in passing yards.

The Packers’ defense is the exact inverse of the Cowboys’. Green Bay is tied for fourth in opponent passer rating and fifth in passing yards allowed, which is the category Dallas has leaned on hardest.

Game Stats

  • Javonte Williams is tied for fourth in rushing touchdowns (six)
  • Dallas is last in the NFL in opponent passer rating (120.5) and rushing yards allowed (168.4), and 31st in total yards allowed (395.4); Dallas has five sacks, 30th in the NFL
  • Green Bay is fourth in passing yards (271.0) and last in rushing yards (60.4) at 3.1 per carry (31st)
  • The Packers are tied for fourth in opponent passer rating (76.8), fifth in passing yards allowed (181.0) and fifth in takeaways (nine)
  • Dallas is seventh in scoring (27.6); Green Bay is 24th (20.8)
  • Dak Prescott is fifth in passing yards (1,381) with nine touchdowns; CeeDee Lamb is third in both receiving yards (507) and receiving first downs (28)
  • Jordan Love is third in passing yards (1,408) with 10 touchdowns; Christian Watson is second in receiving touchdowns (six) and had an 81-yard catch, the 2nd-longest in the NFL
