Captain Olivia Benson and the members of the NYPD Special Victims Unit are back for Season 28 of Law & Order: SVU on NBC.
Benson has anchored SVU since the beginning, leading an elite squad that includes familiar faces like Sgt. Fin Tutuola (Ice-T), Sgt. Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) and A.D.A. Sonny Carisi (Peter Scanavino).
Last season, Benson gained the upper hand in her power struggle with Chief Kathryn Tynan (Noma Dumezweni), thanks in part to Detective Jake Griffin (Corey Cott). Now, Benson and her team are back to carry out the mission spelled out in the show’s iconic opening narration:
