Prediction, pick for Floyd Schofield vs. Lucas Bahdi

Surging star Floyd ‘Kid Austin’ Schofield takes on Lucas Bahdi tonight for the Vacant WBA Lightweight Championship. Schofield is 19-0 with 13 knockouts but hasn’t fought in more than 15 months. Bahdi is 20-0 with 15 knockouts and also hasn’t fought in over a year. This fight is headlining tonight’s boxing event at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois, and is co-promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and Most Valuable Promotions.

Check out my best bet for Floyd Schofield vs. Lucas Bahdi at tonight’s boxing event.

Floyd Schofield by KO/TKO/DQ (+110)

Schofield beat Tevin Farmer by first-round knockout in his last fight in June 2025. Although Schofield has faced tough opponents in the past, this is the biggest fight of his career. Each time the competition has gotten tougher, Schofield has continued to display his dominance. Bahdi is coming off a win against Roger Gutierrez in August 2025.

Although Bahdi has a tall task in front of him, he has been in this familiar spot before. In July 2024, Bahdi faced Ashton Sylve on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry. At the time, Sylve was Most Valuable Promotions’ rising undefeated prospect, and Bahdi came in and shocked the world, scoring a devastating knockout. More than two years later, Bahdi is now representing Paul’s MVP against Schofield of Golden Boy Promotions.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Schofield is a massive -1200 favorite with Bahdi as the underdog at +650. This bout has an over/under of 10.5 rounds, with the over at -145 and the under at +110. Schofield is also +100 to win by decision and +110 by KO/TKO/DQ.

Yes, Bahdi has overcome the odds once before, but he has yet to face someone on Schofield’s level. Schofield’s combination of quickness, power, and athleticism puts him on a different level than Bahdi. Three of Schofield’s previous four victories have come by KO/TKO/DQ. Also, seven of his last 10 wins have been by KO/TKO/DQ. With Schofield being such a big favorite, I’m taking him to win by KO/TKO/DQ at +110. Even if Bahdi makes it competitive early, I expect Schofield to finish the fight, as his power will eventually be too much for Bahdi to overcome.
