After all four Division Series started on a stuffed playoff Saturday, Major League Baseball has two Game 2 matchups for Sunday. On Sunday night, the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers will look to push the Atlanta Braves to the brink of elimination by taking a second straight game to start the series. Game 2 starts at 8:00 p.m. ET, so let’s dive into the matchup and take a look at my top three best bets from the player prop market.
In the big picture, the Dodgers are heavy home favorites at -212 on the Moneyline, and they are getting 78% of the bets on the Moneyline as of Sunday afternoon. The over/under is 7.5 runs, as Dodgers veteran SP Blake Snell gets the start against Wild Card Series hero Ray Kerr of the Braves.
For each Major League Baseball matchup, DraftKings Sportsbook has a wide variety of batter and pitcher props on the board, so let’s take a look at my top plays from this Game 2 Braves-Dodgers matchup on Sunday night.
Braves at Dodgers Prop Bets for Sunday 10/4/26
Blake Snell U16.5 Outs Recorded (-105)
On the starting pitcher side, the Dodgers have a major advantage with Blake Snell taking the hill, but that doesn’t mean he’ll get the over on this outs recorded prop. The veteran missed most of the season with shoulder and elbow injuries, and he dealt with left groin tightness against the Reds in mid-September. After leaving that start after just one inning, Snell worked four innings in a tune-up outing on Sept. 26. He gave up just one run on five hits in four innings, throwing 77 pitches.
He has only worked five innings over the last three weeks, although he did have two starts with over 100 pitches earlier in September. The Dodgers usually opt to go to the bullpen early and will be careful with Snell since they are hoping to have him for two more series.
In Game 1, Tarik Skubal went six innings before handing it over to the bullpen, which was extremely effective until Tanner Scott gave up two runs in the ninth. Since the Dodgers have Monday off, the entire bullpen should be available, and even if Snell is effective, he could only last five innings before the Dodgers go to the bullpen. The under on this prop makes sense due to his limited workload and the Dodgers’ strategy to lean heavily on relief pitchers.
Ozzie Albies 2+ Total Bases (+177)
Albies hit that two-run blast off Tanner Scott in the ninth inning, and he is typically one of the Braves’ best bats against lefties like Snell. The switch-hitting 2B hit .272 this season against lefties with a .727 OPS, compared to just a .215 average and .657 OPS against righties.
He had a down year overall but has turned things on in the playoffs with a hit in each of the Braves’ four games and multiple total bases in three of the four contests. He tripled in Game 1 against the Phillies and homered in Game 3. He’s been one of the team’s top hitters, and he makes sense to target at this juicy prop on total bases against Snell.
In their past meetings, Albies is 4-for-12 with a double against Snell, and he has come up clutch for the Braves already in the playoffs. With his postseason momentum and a favorable matchup, he has a good chance to get multiple total bases again on Sunday.
Kyle Tucker 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI (+101)
Tucker was one of the Dodgers’ best hitters down the stretch and he carried over that success into Game 1, going 2-for-4 with a home run, a stolen base and two RBIs. His 5 HRR (hits, runs and RBI) in Game 1 gives him an average of 2.9 HRR per game over his last 18 contests dating back to Sept. 9.
The 29-year-old lefty free agent who joined the Dodgers and caused a huge uproar in the past offseason had a down regular season, but he is putting things together at just the right time to possibly make himself a postseason legend and live up to his massive contract.
Tucker will be in a lefty-lefty matchup if he faces Ray Kerr, but some of the bulk relief options like JR Ritchie, Grant Holmes and Didier Fuentes will put him in a better matchup against righties, and Ritchie specifically has struggled with lefties like Tucker.
