Georgia Bulldogs vs. Vanderbilt Commodores prediction, pick for College Football on Saturday 10/03/26

Georgia have made their first two SEC opponents endure nearly identical afternoons. The Bulldogs beat Arkansas 45-17 and Oklahoma 41-13, clearing both by four touchdowns. They have also covered all four games to open the season. That’s a demanding standard to carry into another large spread, especially with Alabama next on the schedule, but Georgia’s running game has continued to produce the kind of offensive control that travels from one matchup to the next. Below is my preview, prediction, and pick for today’s college football game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Here’s how I’ll play it. I’ll be pumping out these predictions for individual games all season, with plenty of coverage here on DraftKings Network. Follow my handle @dansby_edits for more betting plays.

Georgia vs. Vandy prediction, preview

Vanderbilt face a harsh offensive assignment of their own. Georgia have allowed only 50.5 rushing yards and 13.3 points per game, severely limiting the easy possessions an underdog needs to remain competitive. Jared Curtis plans to attempt to play after a limited practice week, with his final status dependent on his pregame evaluation. Even if he starts, I hesitate to project a full complement of designed quarterback runs against this front. Vanderbilt will have to earn their yardage under difficult circumstances.

Curtis completed 22 of 33 passes against Auburn, yet those throws produced only 199 yards—a modest six per attempt. Four sacks further complicated those possessions. Georgia can apply similar pressure while conceding very little on the ground. I have Vanderbilt reaching 13 points, partly because a late scoring drive remains possible if the Bulldogs rotate defenders. The looming Alabama game makes that fourth-quarter personnel decision relevant to a spread this large.

On the other side of the ball, Georgia average 6.8 yards per carry behind a line that has kept the same five starters together. That continuity becomes especially useful against a Vanderbilt defense with 13 sacks. The Commodores can make a quarterback miserable when they create long passing downs; Georgia should spend much of this game trying to prevent those situations altogether. Successful early-down runs would force Vanderbilt’s rushers to honor their gaps and play through blocks before they can pursue the passer.

Vandy vs. Georgia pick, best bet

Nate Frazier’s questionable status adds uncertainty to the rushing distribution, though Georgia have already used their depth productively. Dwight Phillips Jr. rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown against Oklahoma. I’d expect the Bulldogs to continue rotating capable backs behind Gunner Stockton, particularly if they establish a lead. Their season average of 54.8 points will be difficult to maintain through conference play, but a low-forties projection looks reasonable against an opponent whose best defensive weapon depends heavily on favorable down and distance.

Georgia have already demonstrated the offensive depth to keep scoring as the substitutions begin. I like them to win 41-13 and cover -25.5. Vanderbilt’s pass rush is the most credible route to a closer game, particularly if it produces a takeaway near midfield, but the Bulldogs’ blocking and rushing efficiency should limit those chances. I’ll back Georgia to establish the margin through the first three quarters, then ask their reserves to finish a job the starters have handled emphatically so far.

Best bet: Georgia -25.5 (-108)

Projected score: Georgia 41, Vanderbilt 13

Best Bet: Georgia -25.5 (-110) vs. Vanderbilt
