Survivor 51 Power Rankings: Fallout after Episode 2

Published:

By: Jeff Pratt

We’re only two episodes in, and Survivor 51 has already devolved into pure chaos. The Open Era isn’t messing around. Anything goes this season on the beaches of Fiji, ranging from rarely-used advantages to more Mr. Beast-inspired coin flips. Episode 2 resulted in another blindside, sending Ana home.

After this week’s episode, titled ‘Weaponized Honesty’, which names should fans be keeping an eye on going forward? Let’s take a look at who helped, or hurt, their chances at winning Survivor 51. Here are my Survivor 51 power rankings after Episode 2.

Survivor Power Rankings after Episode 2

  1. Patt (+7)
  2. Kristin (-1)
  3. Sharonda (+1)
  4. Jelly (+14)
  5. Ori (+1)
  6. Jenna (+9)
  7. Linnea (+2)
  8. Mike (-6)
  9. Kilby (-2)
  10. Carter (-7)
  11. Brady (-1)
  12. Lewis (+5)
  13. Alexis (+1)
  14. Thien An (-1)
  15. Maggie (-4)
  16. Cristian (–)
  17. Devin (+2)
  18. Eric (+2)
  19. Rob (-14)
  20. Ana – Eliminated
  21. Aaliyah – Eliminated

Biggest Riser: Jelly

Whenever you find an immunity idol and tell the right people about it (for now), it’s going to be a strong stretch for you on Survivor! After finding herself attached to the erratic Devin in Episode 1, Jelly realized that breaking away from him as her closest ally was necessary after securing the idol. So, she tells Patt, who then agrees to form a larger alliance that could carry both of them deep into this game. She also put together a strong showing in the challenge. Suddenly, Jelly’s outlook is in much stronger shape.

Biggest Faller: Rob

Unless he turns it around (and soon), Rob’s Survivor 51 experience will be remembered for one of the most embarrassing strategic blunders in show history. On paper, the move was… ambitious. Rob wanted to save Eric in a dramatic moment of (completely unnecessary) self-sacrifice. He asked him to use or forfeit his Shot in-the-Dark and planned to play his own immunity idol on Eric, then casting the only remaining vote against himself, which would send Rob home while saving his close ally. The problem? You can’t vote for yourself on Survivor. Not only was this the case, but Eric didn’t play his Shot in-the-Dark, and Rob didn’t even use his idol on him. In the end, none of it even mattered! Rob’s outrageous strategic move flopped in every way possible, digging himself a bizarre hole to climb out of.
