Panthers breakout wide receiver Jalen Coker is questionable to return to Sunday’s game against the Browns with a quad injury, per the team. He’d come into the week with an ankle that was barking and a questionable designation, but his extensive history of quad injuries makes this news extra concerning.
Coker caught 16 of his 18 targets through those first two games, giving Bryce Young an exceptionally reliable option in Carolina’s passing attack.
Young had looked for Coker early and often: entering Week 3, the receiver led Carolina with a 24.3% target share and 29.5% first-read share while averaging 3.00 YPRR. Those opportunities underline how much the Panthers would miss him if he cannot return.
