For the third time in the last 15 months, WWE will host its Worlds Collide event, featuring talent from AAA and NXT as well! The event began in 1994 as “When Worlds Collide,” a show by AAA and WCW. WWE first brought back the event in 2019 and ran it sparingly on their calendar over the next three years. Then, in 2025, after WWE purchased AAA, they made it a more regular part of their schedule.
Saturday’s Worlds Collide event is headlined by a six-man tag team match between CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, and El Grande Americano vs. Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, and Omos. The Lucha Brothers, Penta and Rey Fenix are reuniting to take on Los Perros del Mal, while La Catalina defends the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Roxanne Perez. Even though he isn’t scheduled for a match, Oba Femi is slated for an appearance at Worlds Collide.

Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano have been in an ongoing feud with Dominik Mysterio, and now the rivalry takes the next step. El Grande Americano won the AAA Mega Championship at Triplemania 34, causing Dominik Mysterio to want revenge. This is a lopsided match as Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano add CM Punk, while Dominik Mysterio has JD McDonagh and Omos. Omos will present a tough challenge, but not one that the team led by two all-time greats can’t figure out.

At Triplemania 34, Roxanne Perez beat Faby Apache, La Hiedra, and Nattie to become the No. 1 contender for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. But now, Perez takes on new champion La Catalina, who recently ended Flammer’s long reign. Especially with Judgment Day likely by her side, Perez will have a good chance in this contest. Since La Catalina won the title less than two weeks ago, it would be shocking for her to lose it so soon.

Lucha Brothers vs. Los Perros del Mal — Tag Team Match
For the second time this year, The Lucha Brothers are back together! Brothers Pena and Rey Fenix have recently had a ton of success on their own, but before WWE, they were one of the greatest tag teams in the world. Their first match together this year occurred at AAA Ola De Calor in August, where they teamed with Dragon Lee to face Los Perros del Mal. Before that, they beat Judgment Day at a dark match before SmackDown in July. Even though Los Perros del Mal have gained momentum in AAA, the Lucha Brothers will be too tough for them to beat.

Although we haven’t seen Je’Von Evans in AAA, a match between the ‘Young OG’ and Rey Fenix would be fantastic in the future. Axiom, Mini Vikingo, and EK Prosper have all faced Fenix recently, and a fresh matchup for the AAA World Cruiserweight Champion would be good.

Las Tóxicas vs. Fatal Influence — Six-Woman Tag Team Match
Fatal Influence has been on a phenomenal run since joining WWE’s main roster. All three members currently have a championship, and Jacy Jayne just qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match. This is Las Tóxicas’ first match together since May and their first of 2026. Due to their momentum and continuity, I think Fatal Influence will win this match.

Dragon Lee vs. Jack Cartwheel — Singles Match
Although Dragon Lee has lost his last two matches, each time he steps in the ring, an unbelievable performance is guaranteed. Now Lee will face Jack Cartwheel, whom he is 2-0 against in singles competition. Cartwheel has been a regular lately in AAA and has done a good job but likely won’t be able to keep up with Lee’s fast-paced style.

Two fan favorites in AAA, Mr. Iguana and La Parka will team up with Adelicious and Mascarita Sagrada to take on Mini Abismo Negro and Vanity Project at Worlds Collide. Vanity Project represents NXT and has found so much success on the brand in such a short period of time. The team with Mr. Iguana and La Parka has more experience, which I think could be a difference-maker in this match.

This is a star-studded match with tension between the two teams. Punk should receive a massive ovation in his hometown of Chicago, which will create an incredible atmosphere.

The build to this Saturday’s edition of Worlds Collide has been interesting, and the card has shaped up to be intriguing. WWE still hasn’t announced broadcast plans for this event. Regardless, a fun show with many talented wrestlers from WWE, AAA, and NXT should be entertaining.
