What happened to Angel Reese? Live injury updates for Dream vs. Liberty on 9/23/26

UPDATE: Reese did not return to the game. DraftKings Early Exit is in effect.

In the second quarter of Wednesday’s game against the New York Liberty, Angel Reese was hit in the mouth by Sabrina Ionescu after she switched and reached out for the ball above the three-point line. Reese went to the locker room and did not start the second half.

Prior to exiting, Reese contributed six points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in 17 minutes of action. She shot 2-of-7 from the field.

If Reese does not return, she will be eligible for DraftKings Early Exit.
