Evans hit those numbers in both games, despite Mississippi State holding big second-half leads. This game is likely to be much more competitive, meaning the Bulldogs might need to push it downfield even more often. That should lead to Evans making at least seven catches for the third straight game to start the season.
LaNorris Sellers Anytime TD (-125)
LaNorris Sellers and Kamario Taylor are facing off in a battle of electric quarterbacks. Taylor has the hype at the moment, but Sellers is much more experienced in these SEC battles. One thing Sellers has always done well in his college career is take off and run at the right moments. He is very smart about knowing when to tuck it and run when there is nothing downfield, in addition to the designed running plays that will come his way. Sellers proved that last week when he rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown against Towson. There were sloppy, rainy conditions on the field that day, so Sellers decided to just keep the ball in his hands and make things happen.
The Mississippi State run defense has had its issues over the past couple of weeks. Despite the strong start to the season for the Bulldogs, that run defense seems quite vulnerable. Last week, Minnesota barely even ran the ball because they got in such an early hole. However, in Week 1, ULM quarterback Austin Carlisle ran for 50 yards on just seven carries. The Bulldogs rank 123rd nationally in defensive EPA/rush. The Gamecocks should be able to move it on the ground, both with their backs and with Sellers. Whether it comes on a designed run or a scramble, Sellers should find the end zone on the ground in this game.
