Georgia Bulldogs vs. Arkansas Razorbacks pick, prediction for College Football Week 3 on Saturday 9/19/26

An SEC showdown is set for Saturday in Fayetteville. #2 Georgia (2-0) is poised for yet another dominant season under the leadership of head coach Kirby Smart. It’s a different story for Arkansas (1-1), fresh off of a 43-10 whooping against #17 Utah. The Razorbacks will be eager to bounce back at home, easier said than done against these Bulldogs. Which of these conference rivals will come out on top this afternoon?

The Bulldogs are listed as 24.5-point favorites over the Razorbacks, with the total set at O/U 54.5 points. Below is my full preview, prediction and best bet for Saturday’s Georgia vs. Arkansas Week 3 matchup.

Georgia vs. Arkansas prediction, preview

Pick your poison when it comes to this loaded Georgia offense. Nate Frazier is the name to know on the ground; he’s already churned out 127 rushing yards and four touchdowns over two games. Shockingly, he’s done so on just ten attempts (12.7 YPC). Fellow running backs Bo Walker and Nick Paul aren’t slouches, either. To be fair, Saturday’s contest marks UGA’s first game against a Power 4 opponent. Even against Arkansas’ shaky defense (more on that later), ten yards per rush is wishful thinking.

Even if there are less yards to be gained on the ground, these Bulldogs can throw the ball as well. Gunner Stockton has been phenomenal so far, recording SEC-best marks in passing touchdowns (eight), completion percentage (88.7%) and yards per pass attempt (13.6). Much like the team’s rushing attack, it’s been a group effort so far. None of Georgia’s receivers have recorded more than five receptions so far. With that being said, both of the school’s first two contests have been blowouts. There hasn’t been a need to leave the starters in for very long. UGA put up a combined 133 points during season-opening wins over Tennessee State and Western Kentucky.

Add it all up, and this offense will be difficult for just about anyone to stop. That’s especially true for the Razorbacks, one of the nation’s worst defenses in 2025. The team coughed up nearly 34 points per game to opponents last season, worst in the SEC. Despite some modest improvement, things don’t look much better in Fayetteville. Last week’s decimation by Utah was proof that this unit has a long way to go before approaching respectability. Of particular concern is the secondary, which allowed the Utes to gain 301 passing yards on 24 attempts (12.5 YPC). A quarterback with elite accuracy such as Stockton could pick Arkansas apart.

If the Hogs are going to hang around in this one, they’ll need to put points on the board. Dual-threat quarterback KJ Jackson has struggled, completing 14 of 34 passes and tossing an interception against Utah. It’s not as if the junior received much support; he was the only player on the team to gain more than 25 rushing yards last week. The only member of this offense that has impressed this month is Nick Marshall. The Boise State transfer has hauled in a team-leading 12 catches for 142 yards. Still, more is needed from starting running back Braylen Russell if this offense is going to become more balanced.

This weekend’s contest doesn’t look like a get-right spot for the Razorbacks. This Georgia defense is, as always, one of college football’s best. Unlike in years past, there’s a decent amount of returning starters on campus. To boot, the secondary features plenty of NFL-caliber talent. The pass rush was an issue; the Bulldogs had an SEC-worst 20.0 sacks last season. However, they’ve already reeled off five quarterback takedowns through two games. In comparison, Arkansas’ porous offensive line has already surrendered seven sacks.

Best Bet: Georgia over 38.5 points (-115)

It’s difficult to find any reason to back Arkansas this afternoon, even with a 24.5-point spread on the table. With that being said, the best bet might be to back Georgia’s offense. After all, we haven’t seen Stockton and company take control for a full sixty minutes this season. Against one of college football’s most vulnerable secondaries, the Dawgs should deliver plenty of big plays down the field on Saturday.
