Week 3 of the college football season is upon us, bringing another slate loaded with games throughout the day. In the early window, a duel between the Kansas Jayhawks and Arizona State Sun Devils brings some interesting storylines and plenty of angles to bet.

Kansas vs. Arizona State player props
Cutter Boley 240+ passing yards (+103)
What a first couple of games with the Sun Devils it’s been for Cutter Boley. The junior showed flashes of a good quarterback last season with 2,160 yards and 15 touchdowns, but he was prone to turnovers with 12 interceptions as well. He came over to Arizona State as the replacement for Sam Leavitt and has looked incredible, completing 68.9% of his throws for 641 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions. He exploded in his debut against Morgan State with 387 yards and six scores, though one does have to take the level of opposing competition into account – at least to an extent. However, Boley played a solid-enough game against No. 10 Texas A&M last week as well. He completed 61.8% of his throws for 254 yards and two touchdowns, though he did toss two picks as well. Really, it was a pretty good day against one of the top defenses in the country, though.
Now, Boley and the Sun Devils take on a Kansas secondary that’s allowed 292 passing yards to Missouri last week. Opposing quarterback Austin Simmons went 19-for-29 with three touchdowns in addition to that yardage total, so given the the better talent on the Arizona State roster, it makes sense to back Boley to get to 240+ yards through the air this week.
Nik McMillan 50+ receiving yards (-130)
The Jayhawks are 1-1 thus far after a 51-6 win over the LIU Sharks and a 38-21 loss to the Missouri Tigers. The offense looked far from great against the SEC competition they faced last week, but there has been some consistency from one of the team’s wideouts. Nik McMillan has looked good, leading the team in receiving during both games and seemingly solidifying the case for a larger workload. He caught six passes for 130 yards and a score back in the season opener, then hauled in two catches for 52 yards and a touchdown this past week. In total, that adds up to a team-best 182 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions.
McMillan has looked strong over these first two contests and should continue to play a major role moving forward. Kansas is a 5.5-point underdog in this matchup on the road, so the Jayhawks should be forced to air the ball out some. All things considered, the outlook for McMillan to hit at least 50+ receiving yards feels pretty stable this weekend.
