The Chiefs are hosting the Broncos for our first edition of Monday Night Football for the 2026-27 season. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Kansas City is favored by 2.5 points and this game carries a total of 43.5 points.
Below, I break down my favorite Rashee Rice prop bet for Monday’s matchup, focusing on his receiving yards line against the Broncos.
Rashee Rice Receiving Yards Prop Bet vs. Broncos
Rashee Rice O 8.5 First-Quarter Receiving Yards (-120)
Rice’s 2025 campaign was cut short by a knee injury, but the receiver was practicing in full last week and he shouldn’t see any limitations in this regular season opener vs. the Broncos. This is a contract year for Rice and he should be highly motivated to prove his worth after dealing with injuries and legal issues in his first three seasons.
While Rice has missed games every year, there is no denying his ability when he is on the field. In his last eight games last season, Rice finished with 53 catches for 571 yards and five touchdowns. The receiver saw a target on an elite 29% of his routes and he averaged a strong 2.15 YPPR.
Outside of fifth-round pick Cyrus Allen, the Chiefs didn’t add any notable pass catchers this offseason and they should continue to heavily rely on Rice as their top wideout. The 26-year-old averaged 71.4 yards per game last season and he had a knack for getting off to hot starts.
Rice averaged 16.6 first-quarter receiving yards per game and he exceeded 8.5 first-quarter receiving yards in 5-of-8 games. In the first period, Rice led Kansas City with a 40.4% target share, which was the second-highest first-quarter target share in the league.
The Broncos gave up the fewest yards per pass in the NFL last season (5.4), but when Rice faced Denver in Week 11, he caught 2-of-4 targets for 21 yards in the first quarter.
Rice did this facing the Broncos on their home turf in Denver, but he and the Chiefs will be at home tonight, where Rice has historically been more productive. The wideout is averaging 6.9 more yards per game at home than when on the road for his career.
While going against the Broncos’ stout defense is never easy, Rice should clear this modest 8.5 first-quarter receiving yard line Monday.
