Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season concludes with a highly-anticipated duel between the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes has fully recovered from his torn ACL and is ready to get the Chiefs back into contention, while Bo Nix and the Broncos are hoping to build on their 2025 success. Let’s dive into predicting which players will find the end zone in this game. Here are my Chiefs-Broncos anytime TD scorer picks for Week 1.
Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs Anytime TD Scorer Picks, Best Bets
| Player | Odds | Team | Position |
| Kenneth Walker III | -135 | Chiefs | RB |
| RJ Harvey | +275 | Broncos | RB |
| Tyquan Thornton | +550 | Chiefs | WR |
| Marvin Mims | +950 | Broncos | WR |
Best Bet: Kenneth Walker III (-135)
If you read any of my fantasy football mock drafts this offseason, you know just how high I am on Kenneth Walker III. The Chiefs have been looking for an elite dual-threat back for years, and it seems they’ve finally found their man. Walker III needs to prove he can stay healthy, but whenever he is on the field, he projects as a monstrous producer. There aren’t a lot of holes in this elite Broncos defense, but I expect Andy Reid to play it (relatively) safe against them and keep the ball on the ground near the end zone. Walker III should get multiple high-value looks at his first touchdown as a Chief.
Best Bet: RJ Harvey (+275)
I’m highlighting another running back with my second best bet for this Broncos-Chiefs, but it’s not technically Denver’s starter. J.K. Dobbins will lead the way on the ground, but RJ Harvey is the more dynamic, intriguing piece of the Broncos backfield. Harvey is an elite receiver (47 catches as a rookie) with a knack for finding the end zone, scoring 12 (!!) times in 2025. I absolutely love the value at +275 for a player who has scored in 70% of his NFL outings.
Chiefs vs. Broncos Anytime TD Long Shots
Long Shot: Tyquan Thornton (+550)
At least once during this game, Tyquan Thornton will find himself wide open for a potential 40-plus yard touchdown. Will Patrick Mahomes find him? That’s yet to be determined. Thornton is among the NFL’s best burners, seeing limited volume but always presenting a threat to secondaries. At +550 considering his role, there’s strong value here.
Long Shot: Marvin Mims (+950)
Speaking of value, Marvin Mims jumps off the page at +950. The arrival of Jaylen Waddle has pushed the 24-year-old further down the depth chart, but he’s still going to see the field. Mims is a capable threat to score, amassing eight touchdowns over his three pro campaigns. Don’t be surprised if the young wideout takes advantage of his limited opportunities and makes an impact.
