The Wyndham Championship comes to a conclusion this Sunday, August 9, and the leaderboard sets up a dramatic finish. In addition to the typical drama at the very top of the leaderboard, the FedExCup playoffs start next week, with the top 70 on the FedExCup points list moving on to The FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee. With that race happening at the same time as the race at the top of the leaderboard, expect plenty of late drama. The total purse for this event is $8.5 million, with the winner taking home a $1.53 million share of the winnings.
Coming into the Final Round on Sunday, Beau Hossler and Michael Brennan are tied for the lead at -16, with Tom Kim one shot back at -15 and Alex Smalley and Alex Noren rounding out the top five at -14. With low scores available, though, a player could charge from further back in the pack as well. On Saturday, Nico Echavarria had the low round of the day at 62 and jumped into the top 10 with that low score on moving day.
