How about some more East Coast MLB delays? First we had Reds-Nationals, then Blue Jays-Phillies. Now we have a third game set back by the thunderstorms: Braves vs. Yankees.
It’s a big night for both teams, beyond the high impetus to win as they chase playoff berths. Tonight is the Braves debut for starting pitcher Tyler Mahle, who Atlanta acquired from the San Francisco Giants before the trade deadline. It’s also the first time that Yankees starting pitcher Max Fried will face his former team since leaving for New York. Suffice it to say, both teams are chomping at the bit to get this one started.
