Blue Jays vs. Phillies game delayed due to inclement weather Friday 8/07/26

The East Coast thunderstorms strike again. Friday night’s Blue Jays-Phillies matchup has been delayed as large storms move through the area. The game, originally scheduled for a 6:40 p.m. ET first pitch, does not yet have an updated start time.

Tonight’s delay is unwelcome for both teams. The Phillies are due to have a Wall of Fame induction ceremony for retired second baseman Chase Utley, while the Blue Jays are excited for Jose Soriano’s team debut after his trade from the Los Angeles Angels. Hopefully the storm clears so neither team is crushed by the anticipation.
